Alexander needs to remember without the Ring title and WBA title his unification quest is not complete.

The Ring title is not on the line for this Bradley-Alexander fight.

How do some of you arrive at the conclusion its such a sure thing Khan beats Alexander? Alexander (who KO'd Urango) certainly has the pop to hurt Khan, he is far more refined, skilled, and has more speed than Maidana who Khan barely survived. So Khan couldn't keep Maidana at bay with his jab and hand speed, but will against Alexander? You saw the kid at a minimum is going to throw punches and lots of them, I think some of you are putting too much weight in the "exception" verses the "rule", which is the same thing many of you get sensitive about in regards to Khan. They are both great young fighters, as is Bradley, they will all do a lot in the sport going forward and there is no reason to try and discredit any of them at this point as they've all done just fine thus far.

So you Khan hanging on for dear life and squeaking by Maidana makes him the man? Alexander and Bradley are the top guys in the division, by them fighting each other the winner then becomes the top guy. I'm not saying that Khan doesn't deserve to be in the mix, or that he isn't on their level, but if he were smart he would have fought Bradley (who is the man) and let Alexander fight Maidana, then he would have had all the leverage and been the man in the division. Beating Maidana, is a good win, and I give him credit for that, but he didn't beat "the guy"...assuming Alexander beats Bradley, he is the guy by way of beating the guy.

Maidana kept landing because he is a pressure fighter who don't mind taking shots as long as he can land a few of his bombs.

Alexander is not Maidana in the sense he is a pure boxer and when it comes to a boxing chess match you in Khan's zone ask Kotelnik and Paulie.

He can't even sell tickets for his upcoming fight and he's already starting his duck posturing with Khan?

I recongize the difference in their styles etc, but Alexander can get to Khan, and he showed a pretty good beard against AK and as I stated earlier the kid is going to throw a lot of punches, and he is obviously fairly heavy handed as he KO'd Urango who is generally speaking has a really solid chin.

If that's so then why are they ducking him before it's even an issue?

Fighters sometimes just posture and say they don't have to fight someone (but if I get paid more, then......). According to De La Hoya at certain points, he wasn't going to fight Mosley, Vargas, Mayweather, etc..

We'll see what happens a few months from now. Besides, it's FAR from a given that Alexander beats Bradley. Bradley is the betting favorite, favored to win by the fans on the forums, hell I slightly favor him to win too.

This. I think alexander has been a victim of his own hype and now realises he isn't anything special. He had an hard enough time vs a shot one armed witter.

His willingness to trade with urango did impress me. His unwillingness to fight amir has not.

Maybe he is just trying to not look past bradley.
