Witter was shot??? Ok if you say so. I say he wasnt and got his ass handed to him.

And the old Urango at the old age of 29 coming off his 2 best wins of his career?:patschAnd Berto didnt win ever round off him either. AND Berto the big, strong, faster, hard hitting WELTERWEIGHT couldnt so much as faze Urango. Alexander knocked the **** outta him.

Who has Maidana beat? Ortiz and Cayo? Awesome.

Khan? Kotelnik and the great jew hype??? **** Hall of fame stuff there.

I think it's safe to say that Witter had seen better days when he took on Alexander and was struggling to make the 140lbs weight (he's moving up to 147lbs in his next fight).

It was still a good win though, for an in-experienced, young fighter. His win over Urango was more impressive.

I like what I've seen from Alexander. He's only a young guy so still has lots to learn, but he looks a good all round boxer to me.

Liked his offensive tools but had no defense. He got hit with almost every right hook from Urango. Eventually he'll fight somebody faster who can hit him and hit him again. I feel Khan or Malinaggi's quick hands will pick him apart.

Okay Jack why do you seem to have a vendetta against every young Black American fighter, or is this all coincidental?

I would like you to name me a 23 year old who has a better resume than Devon at 140?

More so against their fans, who can't judge talent properly, yet make outlandish claims. I've said the same thing about Khan before, because his obnoxious fans annoy me too. It's nothing about the fighters themselves, I couldn't care less about race or nationality, though these fighters do get overrated.

I like Bradley though and I think he beats Alexander convincingly. I am a big fan of Kirkland, for instance, though when he has people from every ghetto in America calling him the next Sugar Ray Robinson, look out for my "James Kirkland is massively overrated" thread.

I don't think Alexander is doing that bad but this is just about putting his talent into perspective. Someone said earlier "Sure, his resume isn't great but he's 23" and that's exactly what I'm saying! He hasn't done enough...yet? I don't think he will live upto to his current hype but he certainly hasn't done anything significant yet.

haven't heard a lot of people putting him above the top grade prospect level yet, which i consider fair because thats what he is.
he hasn't gotten a chance to show that he truly is a top level guy so its unfair to call him overrated at this point.

Yeah but most of your supporting claims are erroneous and/or ridiculous. Alexander is not massively overrated. He did not land a hail mary shot on Urango. Urango is not old. And Ortiz wouldn't beat Alexander. If you want to talk about massively overrated, Ortiz fits the bill.

This guy was touted as the next DLH without even beating a solid B level opponent. He also got his ass handed to him by Maidana and quit in that fight. At least Alexander beat two world champs before he started getting some hype, and it's still not as much as the hype Ortiz received after beating setups. And let's not talk about Khan(another guy that you claim would beat Alexander that probably wouldn't). That guy is the definition of hypejob.

Your arguments are often puzzling and inconsistent. And they are almost always skewed against American fighters.

More anti american bull**** from you.:-( You saying you would pick Ortiz, Khan and Maidana over him tells me everything I need to know about you. You're a ****ing idiot and don't have a ****ing clue about boxing and strengths and weaknesses of boxers. Alexander is the unified champ at 140 but he's done nothing? Do everyone a favor and log off.

The kid is only 23 and already has some of the best boxing skills in the division he will only get better. He literally boxed circles around Urango before dropping him twice and stopping him. Ortiz quit like a ***** but he would beat Alexander convincingly?:patsch I've come to the conclusion that you just say **** for shock value you don't even believe that ****.

This guy is a real piece of work and is nothing more than a jealous anti american hater. He's still mad that Alexander made Witter quit.:yep He would kill to have a guy as talented as Devon fighting out of the UK.

People rate him because they recognize talent when they see it. He may not have the greatest resume yet, but it's blatantly apparent that he'll be near the top of that division for a long, long time.
