Pimp C. Never ever in your life have you ever had any admiration for a fighter like Urango. Remember the Margarito wars back in the days? I mean, let's be real here. You really think Urango would beat Holt? Holt is far too quick and has good power. It's a possiblity that Urango could win the other fights, but Urango is the same guy that got OUTBOXED by Hatton, and when the hell has Hatton ever outboxed anyone?
Just because I list who I think he can beat means I have admiration?atsch Yeah I think he can beat Holt he doesn't like pressure and is chinny. Hatton is his younger days was a pretty good boxer before he started all the rough housing swarmer stuff. With that said pretty much the only way you can beat Urango is by outboxing him, more than likely you're not going to out slug him.
The OP said the following things in an attempt to discredit Alexander: 1. That he didn't dominate Urango WRONG. When you knock someone out in the mid rounds, you dominated. 2. That Urango was old. Bro he's 29 and no one had knocked him out before Alexander! 3. That Alexander got Urango with a lucky hail mary punch.. No man, he landed a perfectly timed and executed uppercut while URANGO was throwing the hail mary. To me it was a brilliant display of punching. 4. That anyone here was calling him "P4P" or "The best at 140." I don't think anyone thinks the kid is #1 P4P or even the best at 140 based on his win against Urango...who is no world beater... But destroying someone who supposed top guys (Berto and Hatton) couldn't even dent is certainly eye-catching.. And furthermore... If its Bradley that's really the goods, compare both their wins over Witter to eachother. Witter was at least mildly competitive with Bradley. Bradley was also put on his seat HARD, not once...but twice against one Kendall Holt, who was KO1 by Thomas Davis (12-15). Bradley may be #1 at 140, but Alexander is gaining ground. I'd pick Alexander if they fought.
How many fights have you seen of Hatton? I'm talking about his earlier fights like from the Magee era.
Dude I go waaay back on this forum, back when capsfunds was the only dude hyping Margarito. Thats when I laugh when muther****ers say that people actually wanted to see that fight in 06. Capsfunds was the only one hyping his ass.
I know people are picking up on the age thing and yes, 29 isn't "old" like I claimed, but I do think he's coming to the end of his career. It's sad because I like him but I just haven't been impressed with him since the vicious KO on FNF. I think he has lost a step and is now just a fringe contender at best. You guys were right, 29 isn't old but I think Urango may be old for his age.
Agreed. Hatton has always had good boxing skill, even though he's been too happy to take clean shots throughout his career. People who think he was talentless don't really understand good brawling, which is as much a skill as any other style. Hatton perfected that style for a good few years.
It would be better for the point you're trying to make if you named a fight where Hatton wasnt dropped.
:roflEverybody had their encounter with Bitchass...Dude swore up and down that Valuev had the style to dethrone Wlad...He even wrote a long drawed out, post about it! Dude comes from left field with these shitty arguements...He never makes a lick of sense! Check this one out: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=182503
