Not a bad matchup at all. Alexander, if he still has it, might squeak out a decision, but Chavez can crack and he seems to be getting slightly better. Chavez has been giving top fighters problems recently, even in defeat, I smell upset in this one.

Good fight between the low end of the top 10 at 147 (#9 & #10)

If Alexander dominates his ass then I want Alexander Thurman

Not sure it would be classed as an upset.

I think Alexander will win on points, however I'd rather Chaves win because I think Brook v Chaves is a more entertaining fight than Brook v Alexander

Not sure what Alexander has left in the tank. He faired well against Maidana. Faired well against Soto Karass, and got whooped by Porter, and totally outboxed by Khan. Historically Chaves is the type of opponent he does well against. Be interesting to see how it plays out.

If Alexander is on his A game he should win comfortable but if he brawls with Chavez hell end up losing ..I like Alexander only if he boxes ..In and out no brawling ..You know slip and slide meng

I think Chaves eeks a decision, he's better than he's given credit for. Tough pick in this one though.

I think the Thurman fight took something out of Chaves. He hasn't looked as good in any of his fights since.

this is actually a good fight, and regardless if alexander has been on a lose streak or not, it's a huge step up for brook, I'd love to see how he deals with someone like alexander who's never been stopped without a cut.
