Not a bad fight. I'd lean towards Alexander but its about a 50/50 match up.

Both guy are still top 10ish welterweights but with Alexander coming in with one win in his last 3 and Chaves 1 out of his last 4(he clearly lost to Bradley) it does make this seem like a weak match up for a mandatory. It would have been more fitting as part of a 4 man eliminator.

Wilder's next fight(probably Arreola) is on that date so this is probably going to be part of that card which would make it a good but not great card.

:good Brook wouldn't be required to face the winner until the beginning of 2016. He's looking at fighting in Sept and Nov/ Dec before that.

Are we still on for that ban bet if Brook doesn't fight a rios next, and a chaves/alexander/bradley/maidana by the end of the year?

What ban bet? How's it Brook's fault if Rios ducks him.

I thought you said Rios would be willing to fight him on May 30th at 5 weeks notice. He's not interested in fighting him for 4 times the money he would've been offered for May 30th at 5 months notice, televised on HBO and in a title fight (which it wouldn't have been on May 30th because Rios wasn't ranked by the IBF until early June).

Maidana won't fight him by the end of the year. He is coming of two defeats, not ranked by the IBF and currently weighs about 35 stone. Chaves and Alexander will fight for the mandatory in Sept but I think that might take place in Brook's first fight next year. So Bradley is the only one of those that probably could happen this year although Bradley already rejected the option to become Brook's madatory (as did Khan, Porter, Sadam Ali and Bundu)
