8-4 Bradley UD. Alexander is way too green and if Koetelnik can time Devon, in a match which I had Devon losing, then Bradley will not only dominate with his experience, he can out-box, he can out-hustle devon with those crazy bombs...All Devon can do is try to time Bradley's onslaught, only he will be the one getting timed, and then hit. repeat. over. Alexander has a few elements working for him, he is very finesse, he has speed, he has good stamina, not the greatest technique, but lets give the guy a break he's still learning. But every single element that Devon brings to the ring, so shall Bradley + championship experience. Bradley is gonna lose a round or two figuring out Devon's rhythm, then begin to close the gap. Bradley does not lose this. In fact, a late round stoppage is where the smart money should go. Should be a banger. Really hope Devon doesn't get owned, I want to see competitive combat!:bbb
Bradley is one of my favorite fighters but im thining Alexander was just not prepared right for the Kotelnik fight. Stylewise i think this fight benefits Alexander. Im going to go out on a limb and say Alexander UD well maybe SD. It is gonna be a tactical fight in which both fighters will land. Bradley might win 7-5 rounds or even rounds but Alexander KD a couple of times. Bradley has too much heart to not go 12. And remember Bradley has been one of my favorites for a while. Just stylewise Alexander has the edge.
I think this will actually be a fight for the hardcore fans only. I wouldnt recommend it to the casual fan since i dont think it will be all that exciting for them. But i have been wanting to see this fight for a year now.
well, i don't think bradley's footwork is all that great and with his looping punches i can see devon staying in the pocket deflecting those looping shots as he did with urango. i don't think bradley is that pollished, he has great heart, stamina, speed and a decent chin. but not that great technique.
Devon is still learning but I think Bradley is a better match for him than Kotelnik. Devon just fought the wrong gamplan in his last fight but lucky for him Bradley's D is not as tight and he tends to throw wide punches and loves to go to war. Should be a good fight with two guys I am a fan to with Devon being my fav 140 pounder that still fights.
How so? I agree that tactics are gonna play heavily into this matchup, but for the life of me I cannot see how Alexander has a stylistic advantage over Bradley. When I look at Alexander, I see skills, finesse, the ability to stick and move, basically the mentality of the boxer; which is why most observers feel he has a stylistic advantage being that he is more of a boxer than Bradley. Some of this rings bells of truth. But when you really think about it, Bradley can box, he can brawl, we've seen him take good shots and go on to dominate, we have seen him adapt mid-fight and either pick up the pace or start sticking and moving. Alexander is gonna be sticking and moving. I just don't see what else he can do. He cant bang, he can't adjust when the going gets rough, and I can't imagine Alexander beating Bradley off pure boxing ability from start to finish. I do not see a competitive fight for some reason, as much as I want it to be a banger, it sounds more and more like Devon is gonna buy into his own hype and get late-KOed. Bradley getting dropped would make things interesting:thumbsup
yeah, just as I was analyzing the fight I realized "wait, this might be a VERY tactical 1 sided snooze fest" but usually nights like those are sometimes the fights that are most fun to watch even as a casual fan. Prior to Pascal-Hopkins for example, everyone was saying what a stinker this is gonna be and b-hop is collecting his last check etc and we had a great fight to finish the year off.
All pretty good points and thats why this fight is so great. There can be great points made for each fighter so we dont know who the winner is which has been a trend lately in all the big fights. Just grab a beer and kickback to enjoy the fight. My pick will still be Alexander.
