Alexander is having trouble securing an opponent and says he would be willing to fight Berto. I think this would be a pretty good fight. They are both about the same height and have about the same reach and only fight 1 division apart. As long as Berto's arm isn't too bad, they could make this fight for August. How do you guys see this fight going?

Alexander takes it. He is much slicker than berto though I think Berto has the handspeed and strenght advantage here. But I will pick skills over strenght anyday.

Wow. Ballsy fight for Alexander this early in his career.

Too close to call at 147.

Alexander is simply the superior boxer. Berto is good but he's not in Alexander's league, imo.

Good fight IMO. Probably would lean towards Berto, bigger puncher, more exprianced. Be a very good fight tho

I picked Berto and I'm a huge Devon Alexander fan. Alexander is a legit Super Lightweight. I don't expect we will see Alexander @ 47 for years, maybe never. Berto is no joke. Y'all better wake up.

Berto. Bigger, stronger, faster and a styles advantage.

ok, are we talking about the same berto that got SCHOOLED by callazo? berto is another protected fighter who will get his ass handed to him if he takes on any other belt holders in his division.

Berto beat Bradley as an amateur, but unlike Bradley, Devon is the truth.

Bradley whips all at 140lbs at the moment, but this one is intriguing for him, I'd like to see him wait a few years before jumping up a division.

More like Devon and Cunningham calling for Bradley for almost a year now and it wouldn't happen, even when Maidana pulled out Bradley wouldn't give Devon a call.:patsch

I like Alexander in this one, I feel he's a future superstar whereas Berto always fails to impress.

Not sure you can call him a protected fighter IMO. He was schedualed to fight SSM before the earthquake, and then faught Carlos Quintana who have previously beat an albeit out of sorts Paul Williams. He has also faught the hard hitting Juan Urango who can be a dangerous fighter.

Berto didn't fight the Quintana that was high off a Paul Williams victory. He fought a Quintana that had in his three previous bouts had been knocked out in one round, beat a 14-15-1 can, and was knocked down by a journeyman and two of those last three at 154, not 147. Then at thirty-three comes back down a weight and after not having been in with an elite fighter or at welterweight for nearly two years. And Berto still wasn't exactly excellent in that fight. His people making the Shane fight was veeery out of character. He pretty much has been protected, imo.
