Devon Alexander vs Junior Witter

Witter fought like he always fought. I could see where the argument would hold water if he looked like crap that night, but he didn't. Bradley was just a little better.

Anyway, I don't think Alexander is ready for Witter, though he might be able to pull out an ugly decision since the fight is on US soil.

i havnt really seen much of devon but i hear hes pretty decent and unbeaten,
i think witter has a lot to prove since his loss to bradly though, and he is more than a handfull for any fighter let alone a prospect so im going with witter on this one

 

Witter is on the slide because his reflexes are clearly slowing and that is key to his whole style. Supporting Witter in this one but I would not be surprised if he lost in a clos fight on points.

Is Devon a counter punched or a come forward fighter? Thats critical because Witter only looks good when the other guy comes forward non stop like Hatton.

 

I'm a Witter fan but I think you've got it pretty spot on. Although I think witter good do better on a different night as he's never been a consistent performer and I think he was fighting below his own standard, I have to say that now being a bit more familiar with Bradley I would favour him every time. He's a bad match up for Witter stylistically because he's a cagey, clever all rounder. Witter banks on his awkwardness and he's not really versatile. Bradley had him figured out very quickly. Pretty much like Barrera Hamed, The clever guy just knows how to beat the awkward guy and the awkward guy doesn't know how to adjust.
I've come to rate Bradley and IMO he's just the kind of guy who'll get better as he gets older. He definately should stay at 140 though for the long hall, I think he'd be a better lightweight but longevity wise I think he should stay where he his. He's certainly too small for welterweight.

Also agree. just watched his last fight and one from a few years ago, reflexes are definitely going.

 

The fight was close. Factor in Witter's recent berievement and there's definately reason to think he could perform much better in a rematch and win.
I don't know much about the guy he's fighting, but I'd imagine Witter will be very hungry himself, as this will most likely be his last real crack of the whip at a title (should he lose).
