I know there's probably been a few threads just like this one over the last few days, but I really have got to hand it to Devon Alexander. The performance he put in the other night was first class, you really cant get much more clinical than that. I just watched the fight all the way through for the first time and it was awesome.

He's got to iron out a few very minor defence issues and I really think he could beat anyone at 140. The best thing is he seems to have it all. A full skill-set, a crowd pleasing style of no running no holding and just pure boxing, power enough to gain your opponents respect and he can even turn it up a gear when he needs to, not to mention his combination punching is **** hot. I rarely praise fighters outright like this but he's made one hell of an impression on me.

    My new favourite American fighter.

He's had little exposure over here, but tuned in for the Urango and Witter fights and he looks good. Should be a big name in the 140 dvision and would like to see him face Khan when he overcomes Malignaggi.

Yeah I know about the lack of exposure but I guess that's a running trend for anyone who doesn't transcend the sport in Britain these days. Khan - Alexander would be a good fight I do hope that gets made somewhere down the line. First up Bradley - Alexander though !

It was a great performance. First person to stop Urango. That uppercut he kept landing was a beauty

He fought a great fight and I can't wait to see him on a bigger stage. There are tons of great matchups at 140 but I most want to see him face Bradley.

It just means the 140 division has gotten even more competitive. Awesome. The division is already deep and with the notion that Valero is planning to join gives me a ton of reasons to love Boxing. If Pac-Floyd doesn't work out, I wouldn't mind seeing Pac go back down to 140 to rumble with some young and and hungry beasts.

Alexander the Great should do well and I'm hoping a fight between him & Bradley happens soon. We need young, new talent like him, Bradley, Berto, and Gamboa I hope they all become legends of the sport.

I saw him fight once prior to him fighting Urango and knew he had the tools to beat him but to stop him? The guy who got up from a flush Randall Bailey straight right hand to KO Bailey? That is what shocked the hell out of me. The sky's the limit for him. Styles make fights but he's showing to be a complete package.

I was also very impressed with Devon Saturday night. He put on a great show. He seems to have very good foot work, movement, speed, and a great upper cut. The 140lb division is definetely second best only to the welterweight division. The best thing is that most fighters are young - Alexander (23), Bradley (26), Ortiz (23), Khan (23), Maidana (26), Diaz (26), Peterson (26), and Cayo (26) are all up in the higher ranks of the division.

Alexander-Bradley is a battle of two studs, but I really don't see Devon being beaten anytime soon. He'll eventually blow up 147. He is a true superstar in the making.
