It looked as if Alexander really was on a track to stardom (maybe) after his KO of Urango, but after that, he's looked extremely average (at best). Would a new trainer be able to get more out of him? His current trainer definitely seems like a stand up guy, and has done great things for Alexander keeping him off the streets, but he's a professional boxer now. All of that yelling in the corner hasn't seemed to do much lately. As far as hypejob's go, I do realize that people get paid to promote their fighters and make them marketable so I don't fault them for making their guy seem like he's the best. I personally don't see Zab Judah having any problem in defeating Alexander, Bradley, Maidana, or Khan. It's just a matter of when if he ever gets a shot at them.
I don't think a new trainer is what he needs, he just needs to mature and gain a bit of confidence. He doesn't sit down on his shots at all, I think he did it once last night and it worked, but then he just went back to his herky jerky style. I think it's more a mental problem than a technical or physical one, he has the tools, he just needs to use them in big fights more often. Luckily he's only 23 so has time to grow/mature as a fighter, and last night won't take too much out of him. As for Judah beating Khan, I dont see that. Maybe Bradley if he performed well on the night.
I thought you were talking some real sense until the last part of your post. Judah? Are you ****ing insane? I don't mean to be rude or offensive, but come on. What has Judah done to make you think he could beat Khan, Maidana or Bradley? Judah has been defeated every single time he has fought a top fighter. Remember Carlos Baldomir? Joshua ****ing Clottey? He barely scraped past Lucas Matthysse, 90% of people thought that Matthysse easily won that fight. I doubt Judah will even get past Kaiser Mabuza, never mind the top dogs at 140.
I remember exactly what Judah did against Baldomir, Clottey, Cotto, and Mayweather. I put all of those guys, even Baldomir on a completely different level skill wise than Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, and Khan, and pretty much everyone else at 140, a totally different level. I agree that it looked as if Matthyse won that fight, but whatever we think doesn't matter since Zab got the W. I think Matthyse would be able to beat all the other "top" guys at 140 also. Zab may not be "the man", but neither are any of the other guys at 140.
I disagree, but that's just my opinion. I think you're underrating the top guys at 140. I think Mabuza, barely a top 10 Jr Welterweight will do a job on Judah.
That's right SportsLeader. We all have opinions so that's the good thing about this forum. I could be underrating the 140 lbs division. That fight from the 2 "top" guys last night took a lot of interest out of the entire division for me. The Maidana/Khan fight was nice though.
Judah could not beat Bradley or Khan. I think Maidana would punish him too. He might be able to breat Alexander though.
