Dewey Bozella Story - great boxing doco

    Saw this on the Brit forum and it's not a bad way to spend 48 minutes on Good Friday.

    For those who don't know Bozella's story. He was an amateur boxer who was sent to jail for 26 years for a murder he was framed for. There are similarities to the 'Hurricane' Carter story. Found guilty by an all-white jury. Only this guy WAS innocent.

    Great post!!!! ....everyone should watch this .... Heart at it's best ..........ps DLH looked fat lol , but besides that incredible real doco

    dont worry, spiders a moron. fckn every true boxing fan knows Rubin Carter was an innocent man, fckn me dead half the world knew. Spider must have been in his bat cave at the time, i wonder if he even listen to Bob Dylans song..

    I bet you watched the 1999 movie 'The Hurricane' and believed every word of it :lol:

    Never has a bigger crock of shite ever been told than that particular movie :patsch

    Carter in many people's eyes, perhaps the majority, was very likely to have committed the crimes he was charged with. Proving it is of course is an entirely different matter.

    Glad you enjoyed it. I watched it yesterday over a coffee and some hot-crossed buns, and might repeat the dose again this morning. It's good enough for a second watch :good

    Great docco and anyone that believes Carter was innocent from the film and the song should do some reading up, it's a very romanticised view that he was an innocent

    oh wow some guys have watched "the hurricane" and now they're an expert on ruben carter, as spider said, it is very likely he did commit said crimes and the movie was a complete crock of ****. And great dock spider cheers for the link

    People who were convinced Carter was innocent , and were instrumental in helping him get out , were to later go on record saying they had been conned into believing it , when the truth is he was guilty ....

    Now even this fella , great story and he will be making lots on the speaking circuit , probably paidf a good quid to let this documentry be made , probably paid a good quid from Oscar for all the publicity his fight brought .

    But cal me a sceptic , he was found guilty twice ,, only got off because the witnesses being called liars , were unavailable ,, (dead i gather )

    But he never sued the govt ,,, thats the part i find hard to believe , that a man who is such a fighter would not of pushed for compensation ,,,, unless off course ,,,,

    WBC gave him an honouary championship belt in 1993, i guess they got fooled by the song and movie aswell or perhaps they just never read the haters websites? lol the problem is , the movie never come out until 1999. He was an innocent man, i dont give a rats ass what the hater sites have to say, they are most likely run by the KKK lol
