Maybe you should watch more than one fight before making a judgment on a boxer. Diaconu's father was dying of cancer when he fought Henry in Romania. That may have affected his preparation, don't you think? Plus, Diaconu is kind of lazy, sometimes he works hard and you don't recognize him. He has worked harder than ever this time.


Diaconu is not a fraud. He's a boxer with some qualities and also many weaknesses. He won't ever be a p4p, so what? He gives a good show and Pascal too, so just watch and appreciate a good fight, instead of denigrating people you don't even know.

The joke is many people here in Montreal consider Pascal as a fraud and think he will be exposed Friday. That comes from people who have seen both men multiple times. For myself, I don't know who is going to win this fight. I can't make a prediction! I can see both men winning. That's kind of exciting.

Hyped by who? I hear a lot of people saying Diaconu is hyped. I don't see much hype though. I've never heard of someone saying he would be a p4p. Diaconu will make his place, it may be the top 30 of the division, I don't know. Maybe top 20. That's ok to me. There are over 500 boxers in LHW, there has to be a number 16. There is no shame in that.

Diaconu struggled in an 8 rounder because he was not at his peak when he accepted the fight. We'll see tomorrow what he's got in him. And if he gets ko'd' it will be ok for me. Each boxer faces him man one day.

It's been years since the word around MTL is that he doesn't train hard enough and that he could have cut more weight.

 

Up to march 2004 he probably could make 168 and even made 168 once and was around that for a few fights.
Then not satisfied with the finnancial conditions at Interbox he tried to change promoters.Tried in Germany I believe.After that didn't work out he had a period in which he wanted to quit the sport and so reached about 260 lbs.
But he came back to Interbox in 2005.He can't make 168 since then,his body gained too much in that time.
