Why do you not like Dawson for??? Not being smart either, i haven't read these interviews you are speaking of, so i would be interested to see for myself why you think he is ducking him...
Just for you, seeing that we're ESB buddies and all, I will repeat myself, AGAIN: 1st ducking: when he argued that Mendoza should be considered his mandatory defence and demanded that Diaconu's mandatory status be revoked, after the WBC reconfirmed Diaconu as his mandatory and told him to get on with fighting him as soon as possible. 2nd ducking: when he signed to fight Johnson at an unspecified future date, despite the WBC telling him to fight Diaconu before anyone else - he was the mandatory! 3rd ducking: when he didn't fight Johnson by the 15th of January deadline imposed by the ever generous and linient WBC, which meant he couldn't fight Diacony by the 15th of March deadline. 4th ducking: when, having arranged to fight Johnson long after the deadline, and being threatened with the stripping, he not only demanded that he fight Johnson with the belt on the table - instead of dropping the belt, giving it to Diaconu to fight for, as a vacant title, but also, AGAIN requested that Diaconu's mandatory status be revoked finally (forever). indication of possible 5th (future) ducking: having been forced to sign a contract that he wouldn't be breaking any more contracts in futureatsch , talking about his future fights after Johnson, he mentioned the Woords v. Tarver winner, he mentioned RJJ, he mentioned Pavlik...heck, he even mentioned Calzaghe...yet he never ONCE mentioned Diaconu, his mandatory for quite a while and the man the agreed AGAIN, for the 5th time to fight, not more than a couple of weeks earlier!!!
Yeah - a JOKE! A guy who says he does something and then he doesn't, time after time, is a guy who has no credibility! A guy who then goes begging to be forgiven after having lied and not fulfilled his contractual obligations repeatedly - you just have to pitty that guy - he's a loser. A guy who then, after being pardoned, has the cheek to demand that his mandatory's mandatory status be revoked forever AGAIN, after being pardoned for having lied and not fulfilled his obligations AGAIN - well, no one can possibly respect that guy. He is a prima donna who has no respect for rules, for his promisses, for the contracts that he signs, for his opponents and their dreams and desires and careers. He thinks that because he is a promissing 25 year old with elite skills, he can **** on everyone repeatedly and not just get away with it, but get his own way completely too! How would you describe a guy who has no credibility, no self respect, no respect for others, for rules, for contracts and a hell of a cheek? I describe him as a JOKE!:deal
Cheers, i wasn't being a dick, i have never seen you post any of that before. Do you have a source for any of that? Especially the mandatory status being revoked, i have never heard any of it. I am very suprised, as something like that would be big news in the boxing world.
I've been writing this kind of stuff for MONTHS now...and had idiots come and say **** like: "You stoopid. Diaconu pulled out. Diaconu ducked Dawson" for MONTHS. Don't ask me to find the original sources because I no longer have them. In the threads that me and others were making these arguments, we did so on the basis of readily available public information, which we quoted! If you can be bothered to look for those thread - I cannot - you will find all the original sources there! I am not making this **** up! You know how some of us think Choc was becoming a bit of a joke, saying what he was saying and doing what he was doing? Well, he is nothing compared to Dawson!!! Still, I like him very much as a fighter and I wish him all the best...but he NEEDS to get his act together - he needs to fight Diaconu, not just because Diaconu is the mandatory, but because Diaconu's style can expose some presumed deficiencies, or, confirm that those fears were unfounded after all. :good
Wow....you've really upped it a notch. Let something slip didya? Yeah, a joke. A guys who MIGHT POSSIBLY (nothing is even set in stone REMEMBER...) go after some bigger names before they are comepletly shot, is a joke while you sit there doing nothing. If he faces the winner of Woods tarver, is he still a joke? Are they jokes too? ****, maybe Diaconu should move to another division that isn't full of jokes? Look being serious now, I understand what your are saying, but Dawson has to look out for himself, NOT Diaconu. **** man, you've pretty much based Dawson's whole career on not facing one fighter YET.
I'll search for the threads, because i am curious. Do you know roughly how long ago, and what the thread titles were??
It WAS big news. But who the **** is Diaconu? Some unknown Romanian guy who is promoted by a small Canadian club. Dawson is the next big American p4p hope! And whenever me and others made a fuss, people said we were causing a fuss over nothing. Their argument: Diaconu is CRAP! Dawson doesn't need to fight him! He had his chance and blew it anyway, when he pulled out! atsch
:nut And all this while Diaconu was hurt and could even fight....There is no longer a need to argue the point with you, you just dont get it. FACT for the 100 times...DAWSON signed to fight Diaconu, who was hurt and pulled out of the fight. It makes no difference why or how Dawson signed to fight him, bottom line is he signed to fight him and was ready to fight. You are just tring to pull the wool over peoples eyes in you unreasonable rants about this subject. Dawson ducking him five times by -ONE fighting a guy that was Diaconu's replacement -Two because Diaconu got hurt -three because Dawson didnt sit around and wait -four because he couldnt get a fight with Tarver -FIVE and Most important...Because you say so.. Get the Fuk out, this makes no sense and you are fast going from respected poster to a sideshow act like Farmboxer
They'll have "Diaconu" and/or "Dawson" in the title...threads from some months ago...from September 2007 onwards... ...I might look for them again, just for you, but not now. I cannot be arsed, to be honest. If you don't believe me...too bad.
Who says Dawson shouldn't look out for himself? Sure, if he can have hi cake and eat it - why not! Good luck to him! But why should that stop ME from telling it how it is? Why should it stop me from pointing out that he is DUCKING Diaconu? Why shouldn't Diaconu look out for himself too? Why shouldn't HE make some money milking that belt? Why should HE not be the one deciding when to give guys like Dawson a shot? Because Romanians don't count?:huh Well, I'm telling it how it is because I want Diaconu to be treated fairly!:deal I want him to get his shot at Dawson, win or lose, because he EARNED IT, more than once, too!:deal
Ease up, i'm not questioning your credibility, i just like to read things for myself. Rumours always get circled in boxing, and i would love to know the full situation. Don't worry about looking, i will have a look through today sometime. Cheers.
Nothing is certain in boxing today. Big fights have been made and broke the same day. Dawson would be a fool to NOT strike while the iron is hot. And he's hot, so he has some leverage. Besides, if Dawson fought either Tarver, Woods, Hopkins, Calzaghe, or even Jones jr over Diaconu, it's not like any of those guys are shot to the point they'd get killed or squashed by Diaconu. Yes, jones and Hops are shadows of what hey were before, but that was a pretty big shadow that dwarfed most average boxers. All the generations of boxers have a period where the big names, who bring the money, are on their way's out, or will be in a couple years. And every young fighter still goes for them for a couple reasons. The money obviously. But also as a passing of the torch. Who wouldn't fo that? Diaconu will be there still. Maybe he needs to get his name more in the mix as well. Dawson isn't the only 175er in the division. IT sucks he MIGHT NOT get that fight, but it's the end of the world for young fighters.
