Diaconu v. Bute at 175 ~ who wins and why?

    How CAN Diaconu get his name in the mix if even this 25 year-old with not record won't fight him? Why would RJJ or Tarver fight him?:huh

    Diaconu doesn't need to chase anyone. He's chased Dawson hard enough. Time for Dawson either to make the fight or drop the damned belt and fight whomever he pleases! Diaconu is not so much after Dawson as he is after the belt that Dawson holds captive! He is after the belt because belt=money and power to attract big names to the negotiating table for fights. Simple as that.

    They probably wouldn't fight him. They probably won't fight Dawson either. And Dawson isn't doing anything Daiconu wouldn't do himself. There are some lucrative names @ 175. Maybe not the best, but still better then most. Who wouldn't try to make a fight happen if they could. Especially when you can make a name for yourself in the process. At Dawson's age, it's not like he's ONLY going to fight them and only them.

    Johnson is fighting Dawson. Wouldn't be fighting Diaconu if he had Dawson's belt and resume, I don't think.;)

    Dawson will be in the mix if he beats Johnson. It might be their last big payday against a future p4p elite - who wouldn't take that, if they cannot get Calzaghe, say, instead? Not to mention that the fight would be bigger than Dawson v. Johnson. Of course, Tarver has been avoiding Dawson already...but he'd be a better risk/reward after beating Johnson.

    Quick review of Debecal thoughts, then Im done, this is pointless. Its like debating with Pacnatic.................Dawson is ducking Diaconu, he only signed to fight Diaconu because he couldnt get a fight with Tarver, Dawson then farther ducked Diaconu by fighting a replacement fighter when Diaconu got hurt. He once again ducked him because he didnt wait around to fight Diaconu while he was getting back from being injuried. Dawson will keep ducking Diaconu because Debecal says so. that pretty much sums up his argument, which makes it pointless to talk about with him. In fact it makes it pointless to even watch boxing since Debecal can tell us what fighters are going to do, and what they all did. We can just ask him, and so it will be because HE said so:good

    There is a reason you are quoting your own posts...:yep

    You are underrating Bute and overrating Diaconu too much.

    It wouldn't be a one sided affair at all.

    Man, you know nothing about this subject. Diaconu was back well before Dawson signed with Johnson. Listen, when a boxer himself says he doesn't want to fight another one, you have to be dumb to say otherwise.

    i think the fight against Henry pretty much showed the gap between Bute and Diaconu.

    Hmmm...Bute was at ringside and after the fight he said he's never seen anyone who can take as many hard shots as Henry! He didn't look as if he was just saying so either...I don't think Bute could have taken all those shots from Diaconu, and Bute has a very good chin. Henry was very tough, hard-chinned, athletic, strong and powerful. I don't think it's that easy to make Diaconu look like a rag doll...

    Bute would not receive all these bombs from Diaconu. He would dance for 6 rounds, and Diaconu would suffer hell. Not the same league, Decebal, not at all. Bute's progression is maybe 4 times faster than Diaconu.
