I can't stand that punk Diaz, so I was really hoping Guida's victory would be more definitive. I think either guy could have been given the decision. Diaz actually looked better than I thought he would. He utilized a very smart jab when standing up. He's an odd fighter in that he has amazing juitisu and is excellent at submissions, but when a guy gets ontop of him he looks pretty bad. His saving grace has been that triangle choke that has won him a few fights where he was getting hammered on the ground.
I thought nate won this fight 29-28 guida was just hugging him the whole fight nate had the more shots jmo
Diaz won that fight, people need to stop loving this hugging ways of winning. Rogan has fallen in love with this **** too. I guess he needs to do it to prop the company. Diaz was beating Guida beautifully and they awarded hugging from behind as "control" points. Guida was getting thrown left and right yet he gets the points for clinging to Nates back.
He won the striking in rd 2 and clearly round 3. In round two Guida took some flush shots, I mean beautiful 1-2s and jabs. Now Clay did manage to get a hold of him and relentlessly clung to his back or tried to take him down. But the problem is the takedowns didnt come easy, Nate was working the kimura on the single attemps. And Nate tripped Clay and Clay ends up on Nates back. Clay shouldnt get points for just hangin on. What about the Judo throw? I dont know, dominant striking, submission attemps greater than trying for takedown and pushing someone against the fence
