“I respect Carlos Condit, but I want Diaz to win,” St. Pierre said. “It will be a weird feeling, sitting at the Mandalay Bay wanting Nick Diaz to win. I want this fight with Diaz so badly, as badly as I wanted the title shot when I got down on my knees. I have never asked Dana White for anything, but I did ask to fight Nick Diaz. I was [crushed] when I had to pull out of this weekend’s fight hurt, but I am determined to get back to the Octagon as soon as possible to fight this guy. He needs to hold up his part and beat Carlos Condit on Saturday to make this fight happen.” “I don’t truly hate him as a person,” St. Pierre said. “I don’t know that he is a bad guy, but I hate what he brings to the sport with the disrespect and the unprofessional things he says and does. It is sort of a professional hatred. He has been nothing but disrespectful and arrogant toward me. During UFC 137 [week] I felt like I had to walk around Las Vegas with my fists ready [to punch Diaz] because every time I came across him, he wanted to fight there and then. Every time the elevator opened [in the hotel], I needed to be ready to fight in case he stepped in. I was on edge all week. This guy is crazy.” :hat
Gsp will make diaz look second rate....GSP coming off multiple set backs and now actually genuinely disliking his opponent..Its not going to be good for diaz...
Dont underestimate what a layoff can do to a fighter. I still predict a GSP win but will wait to see Diaz in his next fight to make an offical call
GSP would rather fight him in the octagon. i can't see gsp being rattled. He is always focus when his fighting. He'll come in ready and whoop's nick diaz ass
if diaz beats condit.......he will beat gsp aswell...he is in gsp's head....and gsp tryin to prove he is hard ass too...which he is an excellent fighter...but fighting is a mental game more than anything else.....if gsp steps out his realm..of comfort and fightin style and fightin mentality...its gonna be a bad day for him....if diaz wins against condit...and if condit wins..i think the let down for gsp..can cause him problems in that fight aswell.... we shall see....
obviously hed rather fight him in the octagon but for GSP to be feeling like that diaz will be laughing, no doubt he'll be focused and want to whoop his ass but getting wrestle****ed doesnt constitute an ass whoopin
Be careful what you wish for.. Knee surgery is one thing, stepping into the octagon with Diaz is another. Not only can his emotions get the best of him.. I doubt GSP will be at his best in his first fight after surgery. Condit v Diaz will be more competitive than the fight GSP will be in later this year.
