sigh... it wasn't clear at all. I had it a draw and enough people had it for Malignaggi. It wasn't a robbery that Diaz won, the scorecards where a joke. Besides it was a good entertaining fight first go round so why not do it again.
Well being that both these fighters are feather fisted, it's going to be another decision. I just hope we get a clear winner this time around. it was a close fight that could of gone either way. the only contraversy was the idiot judge. A win by knock out would be great but thats a long shot.
I thought Malignaggi eked out a win. It's hard for a retreater to get a decision under those circumstances. He should have pushed a little more knowing that, or believing that the deck was stacked against him. That being said, this fight could be a crossroads for both guys. For Malignaggi, it's a chance to halt the perception his high water mark is behind him and won't be anything more than a career opponent from now on. For Diaz, he was stopped by JMM and then shown to be too slow for Malgnaggi(who is obviously very quick, but nonetheless he looked slow). He wants to get back on the right track, he needs to win a clear victory against Malignaggi and regain some of the momentum he had as of last year.
If Paulie keeps moving he should win fairly comfortably, the rounds Diaz won he stood in there and got involved in exchanges and even though Diaz cant hit very hard he is like Mike Tyson compared to Malignaggi. not only are these guys feather fisted but they both have good chins, especially paulie, I'd say I have a better chance of winning the lottery than seeing a KO in this one.
