Yeah agree Gonzo. They did as well as they could, but I think it's obvious that his trainer can't take him any further. Gee Mick really cuts/swells up hey.

i dont know what Micks tactics were into the fight, but i was pretty dissapointed. There was no way he was ever going to outbox diaz, he never really planted his feet. He tried hard but was never really in it.

A long rest..He done himself and Australia proud..Juan Diaz is a special fighter, and to throw more punches than Juan Diaz in a fight is a feat in itself.

After the rest, he needs to a have a long hard look at his career.

Brenden Smith needs to go, he allowed Mick just to keep using a gameplan that was ineffective all the way to a clear points loss, despite what the cards say, though I really want to get a copy of this fight and watch it properly again, the feed was a pain.
Dare I say I think Fenech would even be a good option for him because he at least has the balls to be honest with a fighter and his knowledge of the technical side of boxing, especially infighting, is underrated.

Though I would love to see Rocky stay in Oz and have a few more confidence boosting fights, I think his future is in America. I think its better for him to have a North American trainer and team, train in North American gyms and spar the talent they have available over there. So maybe a move to the States for this part of his career could be to his benefit.

Mick is a fringe contender now and would only need a couple of wins to move himself back up to one of top contenders at lightweight. Despite this loss, he is an excitement machine still and I think people wont forget that quickly.

Tactically a bad fight for Katsidis. He was never going to outbox Diaz, where was Katsidis the brawler ?

The SD verdict flatters Kat a bit. He was outclassed but fought his way back to a respectable loss imo.

It's a shame he couldn't keep his power during the later rounds.

He always had the attitude to not listen to his trainer, he should of did that today and go out on his sword, Brendan Smith is ****ing useless telling him how great he was doing and made no sign of urgency to go balls to the wall.

He lost, Brendon **** me what he was watching, look mike is never going to be a boxer or have a long career, This is what he is a brawler and at the top of the tree he needs to do this try and brake there heart with Pressure and punches.

I like Katsidis he's decent enough - just lacks that extra bit of quality. Always fun to watch though.
