    Few key notes:

Diaz states that "they" have studied Trout for a while now and undertands his classic US style of boxing with low guard and fast/explosive jab. He (Diaz) undertands that Trout has to be respected, but he can be defeated.

He goes further to say that he is a lefty who may be a bit dificult but he has worked out a plan. He feels confortable with Miguel fighting the southpole. Trout may has a few tools available but Miguel has the technical expertise and its a complete boxer.

He also say that he is not worried about the height and reach advantage and that Miguel wil bring some new tools into the fight and a new technical aptitude. You seen Miguel fight on the back foot, being an smart agressor and will continue to pull the champion like qualitiy that Miguel posesses.

He closed to say they have layed out the training plan and its divided into 4 phases. He will be traveling from Dominican Republic very soon hopes to be in PR as soon as possible for the training camp to begin.

This bout is going to be a lot tougher for Miguel than most expect. It's a very high risk low reward for Cotto, but props for him being one of the few elite fighters willing to take on someone like Trout.

Cotto has problems with slick boxers,i think trout being a natural middleweight with very fast hands and top level technical skills will be very difficult for cotto,i think trout wins by ud.Delvin was a banger and even he was afraid to attack, because h would have got outclassed.

Trout isn't quintana and cotto won't walk the natural middleweight down, cotto isn't the fighter he used to be,it seems he just brawls now because his skills are gone.

If anything Cotto is more of a boxer now than a brawler in my opinion.

^Agreed, Against Trout I'd expect Cotto to be a lot more aggressive than say the Margo rematch. Miguel defo has gone back to his boxing roots a lot more tho.
(MC will turn on/off the aggressive side from here on out)

Cotto's only chance is to brawl, but that is a losing proposition against a bigger guy who has adequate power.

Diaz says a lot of ****, said he would negate Floyd's ability, but we saw how that worked out. He is a good trainer, not sure about his gameplanning.

This my friend was one of the most boring fights I witness and I will not put myself to punishment again by watching this video. I remember it when I saw it live:patsch One thing Trout better do is be more active because if he fights like this it will benefit Cotto in the long run.

    Thanks for posting!

For anyone that wants a word-by-word translation for all those notorious Pedro quotes:

“Todos conocemos que Cotto es un gran boxeador, un boxeador inteligente y de mucha disciplina. Y vamos a tener una preparación correcta para que Puerto Rico amanezca en el 2013 con Miguel como campeón mundial nuevamente”

We all know that Cotto is a great boxer, an intelligent boxer and he is very disciplined. And we’re going to have the correct preparacction so that Puerto Rico wakes up in 2013 with Miguel as new World Champion.

“Sí, sí, cómo no. Ya lo hemos visto, lo hemos estudiado”, indico Pedro Luis ayer. “Es un zurdo que parece incómodo, difícil de vencer. Pero para todo hay su táctica”.

Yes, yes, of course (referring to whether they have studied Trout.) He’s a southpaw who looks awkward/uncomfortable, difficult to beat. But everything has it’s (solution in) tactics.

    “guardia equivocada”.
“Eso encaja muy bien a las características técnicas de Miguel, pelear con un zurdo”, sostuvo el técnico. “Él (Trout) tiene algunas cositas (que pueden dar problemas). Pero Miguel es un boxeador completo”.

(The article notes he thinks Trout is fighting out of the “wrong stance”.)

That outlines very well the technical characteristics of Miguel, to fight with a Southpaw. He (Trout) has certain little things (that could cause problems). But Miguel is a complete boxer.

“A mí realmente no me interesa la estatura del contrario, porque las palmas son altas y se caen”, expresó Pedro Luis. “Todos los contrarios tienen lo mismo, dos manos, y tiran los golpes. Lo otro que lo ponga arriba en el ring. En la hora de la verdad el campeón tiene que bailar mejor que el otro”.

I’m not really interested in the stature of the opponent, because palm trees are tall and they fall. All opponents have the same things, two hands, and they throw punches. Anything else we’ll see inside the Ring. In the moment of truth, the champion needs to dance better than the other.

“Pienso que Miguel tuvo un campamento de entrenamiento muy bueno para Margarito y tuvo otro para Mayweather”, continuó diciendo. “Con el tiempo va perfeccionando cosas y Miguel va sacando cada vez más lo que siempre ha tenido, estirpe de campeón”.

I think that Miguel had a very good training camp for Margarito, and for Mayweather. With time he’ll go on perfecting things and Miguel will bring out more each time what he’s always had, the quality of a champion.

“Tenemos diseñado un programa de preparación bien bueno, dividido en cuatro etapas importantes”, explicó. “Yo estoy en trámites en República Dominicana y espero estar en Puerto Rico lo antes posible”.

We’ve designed a program for his preparation that’s very good, divided into 4 important stages. I’ll be travelling from the Dominican Republic and hope to be in Puerto Rico as soon as possible.

He brawled against Pac after round 2,he went back to being an aggressive but tactical fighter... If he brawled with Floyd,he might have went down.
