Gsp is good at wrestling his bjj is average and his striking is mud who has gsp ever knocked out. Nick diaz has knocked out robbie lawler who was once considered the heaviest hands in the welterweight division. If gsp won he would win by laying on nick and praying i doubt he would stand with nick as nick has longer reach, and better striking in my opinion, just because gsp trains with freddie roach for his striking doesnt mean that nick doesnt have a chance against gsp. Plus gsp's chin has never really been tested and when it had matt serra put him away and nick hits waaaaaaaaaay harder than old man serra

His BJJ is average? Did you see the sub transition he caught Matt Hughes in? You do understand that Matt Hughes is an elite grappler (Wrestling and Subs).

    Here are the facts:
    > Diaz has beaten NOBODY even close to the level of GSP or Hughes.
    > GSP has not lost a minute of a fight since Serra caught him behind the head with a haymaker
    > Diaz did knockout Lawler. But then he went on to lose to Karo, Diego, Sherk and Riggs :patsch If you are going to count his KO over Lawler, why would you ignore the other FOUR fights he lost in the UFC.
    > Diaz has been on a good winning streak, but it has come outside of the UFC. And whether you choose to believe it or not, the following names are BETTER than anyone he has beaten currently: GSP, Alves, Fitch, Condit, Penn....and even Anthony Johnson would be a tougher test than anyone he has fought and beaten.

GSP is a better striker than Diaz! Just because he doesn't have K.O power doesn't mean he isn't a great striker!

If this fight ever happens, it's going to be embarrassing for Diaz. Jab, jab, leg kick, jab, superman jab, leg kick, jab, superman punch, jab, takedown....GNP and control for rest of round. Repeat 5 times. GSP goes to the club after without a scratch on him :deal

    Not even an exaggeration.

    nonesense!

Ask yourself this, would Gsp beat Diaz in a k-1 style fight?

The answer is no. Diaz would win, and quite easily.

Gsp is a fantastic MMA fighter, good at many things, but his wrestling would spell doom for Diaz who would lose every round via takedown to ground control/gnp for a unanimous decision victory and another easy title defence for Gsp.

Yes, yes he would. When has GSP ever been outstruck? With the exception of the 1st Penn fight.

GSP's striking is MUCH more versatile than Diaz's. He utilizes kicks and jabs. He has much better footwork and closes distance much better. People forget, because he has become such a great grappler, that GSP's base is striking :deal

Gsp is a grappler, a ground fighter, he has very good striking but his striking is by no means more versatile than Diaz. Have you seen him strike recently? Its all jab, jab, move. back to jab, jab, move. jab, lowkick, move. jab right hand move ect. He sticks to basics and it works for him. And dont forget the importance of the threat of a takedown makes on his opponents ability to be aggressive.

Ohh and gsp doesnt get outstruck because he doesnt stand and strike with dangerous strikers. But to answer your question he was outstuck by matt serra, not just with the tko but was actually outstruck by matt serra thoughout the fight if he would have simply taken serra down like he did in the rematch he probably would have won. Also I would add that matt serra did not fight gsp like a man afraid to get taken down, he threw caution to the wind and it paid off for him in that fight.

I also think that in part of the second round Fitch outstruck Gsp.

Alves never got the chance, gsp sets traps for you and then takes you down. every time alves through that lowkick gsp was there to catch it and take him down. Gsp needs all of his weapons to be effective take out the threat of a takedown and you can be far more agressive and swarm his defense which diaz is good at... if you take away gsp's takedowns which no one has been able to do.

Why do you think Gsp dosent stand with most of his opponents? is it because he is so scared of getting caught with that one big punch or is it because his strenghts lie in a game plan of attaking his opponets confidence, will, and stamina by always keeping them guessing by staying a couple steps ahead of them.

He does this by mixing up striking with takedowns better than anyone else in mma. Gsp then wears you out on the ground with great ground control and GNp he makes you defend his relentless attacks and guard passes when you get to your feet your are starting to tier, he then takes you down again. he completely grinds you down until you have nothing left.

" Its all jab, jab, move. back to jab, jab, move. jab, lowkick, move. jab right hand move "

Thank you, that is all more versatile than what Diaz does :good He also mixes in faints, covers distance much better, kicks to the legs and head, sets up high kicks with leg kicks, works elbows, superman jabs and rights.

But the thing that sets him apart from Diaz on their feet is his athleticism and ability to cover distance quicker than anyone else. :deal

really he has done this recently?

sorry dude cant agree with you here.

did you not see the combinations to the body and head diaz threw, did you not see diaz threw those elbows and highkicks.

Gsp sticks to very basic techniques and it works for him. Gsp has far more athletisism than Diaz Daley had more atletisim as well and was faster but he couldnt deal with the attacks that came at him from all sides, diaz is a stalker pressure type fighter he would be all over gsp what would St peirre do? easy, go for a takedown get it, and start punching away. If rules did not allow for a takedown like in K-1 he would have to rely on movement but diaz would catch up and land on gsp- his defence is not all that good anyway.

Remember Diaz has struck with some of the best strikers in the welterweight division who has gsp stuck with? I mean really outstuck, without relying on takedowns?

Koschek. who cant even block a single jab.

Daly was a sitting duck. He fought Diaz stupid. Do you really think GSP will let Diaz that close to him??? Do you think GSP will stand there with his back up against the cage? I don't. I think GSP will keep distance with his foot work and jab. Like he always does. :deal
