Define effective, becuase though Paulie was landing shots they were not as effective as the left hooks and right hands that Diaz was landing, and Paulie really didnt out land Diaz by a huge margin it was like maybe 20 more shots at most.

effective is by controlling the round in this case, and i thought the malignaggi jab in most rounds was the most effective punch then anything diaz landed, diaz looked frustrated, had his head snap back cleanly then anything else i saw most of the fight....the ahhh's of the houston crowd really did help diaz, when his punches werent really all that clean or effective IMO

Sorry, but Malignaggi won that fight.

I don't see how anyone can say Diaz won that fight.

He got robbed, no disrespect intended towards Diaz, who fought valiantly, but Diaz lost, plain and simple, and this is a stain on boxing and fuirther proof as to why the sport needs cleaning up.

118 - 110 - NEVER allow Gale Von Hoy to judge a fight ever again.

The thing is this. The fight I seen, if Paulie won the 12th round he won the fight no questions asked in my book. If he lost it, it was a close one. But all the scorecards suggest he would of lost the fight regardless of what happened in the 12th even if he got a knockdown it would of been a SD win for Diaz. Thus making this fight a ****ing robbery in principal.

nah, 115 113 is not really a robbery, but 118 110 was. To say Malignaggi only won 2 rounds the whole fight is absurd.

You got it wrong Diaz made Paulies head snap back several times I dont recall Diaz being tagged with anything like that.
close fight I thought Diaz won it no robbery for sure, it was close the only thing you can ***** about really is teh wide scores thats it either guy you could make a case for.

You forgot the 116-112 score in which my post above shows that if Paulie kicked his ass in the 12th he would of only gotten a 114-113 score by the other judge. Paulie swept the the 9-11th. Diaz did not sweep the 2-8th.

Paulie turns his head with punches, you know rolls them. I know its a new custom that you are not used to seeing but it happens. He keeps his right low and he rolls the punches. Not saying that Diaz was not touching him but at times Paulie would roll his own head and actually block the punch as the ringside cast said multiple times during the fight.

It didn't matter if Paulie won the 10th, 11th, AND 12th on van hoy's card. still would have lost. that's ridiculous

It was a close fight, people complain too much, could have gone either way and should have been a draw. What about the gift descisions malignaggi recieved over Herman and Ndou

Okay, you all know I had it 115-113 for Diaz. I thought he landed the more effective punches, and the way I score, that will win the swing rounds in my eyes. I

f somebody tells me Paulie won 115-113, I don't have a problem with that score either. It was a close fight.

The 116-112 was a little too much, and 118-110 is nuts and that judge should be brought in front of the commisson and explain that score.

Even though two scores were off, with one completely off, in my eyes, the right guy won by 115-113.

People are hating on Diaz for this so called "robbery". Be mad at the judge that had it 118-110. I understand that.

It doesn't mean Diaz shouldn't have won anyway though. That still doesn't make 118-110 okay of course. Scores like that do need to be adressed in the sport.

Win or lose, Paulie did redeem himself after some recent lackluster performances. I was surprised he fought as well as he did and he deserves a lot of credit for it. He does deserve to get a good fight now, and I hope he does.
