First off, good fight tonight...Secondly, if Diaz had any power, he would have stopped JMM... He was landing some very clean shots and even hurt Marquez....

Your right. Power in those hands would've made a considerable diff. tonight.

Diaz came out hungry and poised.

    I was ****in' geeked, boy.

I prob. had the neighborz ready to call the ****in' cops n' ****.

If Tommy Hearns had Jake LaMotta's chin he would have been unbeatable. What's your point?

That is what he lacked. JMM started to turn the fight around when he started to land the bodyshots. But the cut is what changed the whole fight.

Diaz has never had KO power, just an ability to rack up points by being extremely busy.

Still, he was as game as they came.

No but he has a certain amount of snap to his punches that makes him wear his opponents down. He's no Paulie.

I'm more surprised tht he got sparked out, sure JMM is a great puncher but Juan has never shown a chin that is dentable before tonight. He really hates geting cut, he's made his money and will retire now and finish college IMO.

Hell, Pac vs. Marquez 3 would be amazng! Marquez is leaving nothing in the hands of the judges nowadays and Pac is improving all the time....I think it will end in a K.O and we will finally know who the better man is.

His best assets was his workrate. Never was a KO artist nor a tactician. Youth and workrate alone does not work against elites.

i have to take my hat off to diaz what a fighter
i knew he cuts the ring off well but the way he was cutting marquez off was amazing

if he had a little more power, i will put my hands up and say he would have won

FRom how viciously he commits to his hooks and sounds he makes, it looks like Diaz is landing huge shots but they arent even hard it seems

if juan diaz had real power he wouldn't have ever lost a fight but wouldn't have been able to find opponents neither.

Nice memory. This ruining of an brilliant young lion at he hands of an old master. Marquez' combination punching was stunning
