LLY "The Kid" Dib fights for the first time in nine yearsat Hurstville Entertainment Centre on Saturday. He is against Brazilian Isaias Sampaio in the Pan Asian Boxing Association fight, the main bout of the night.
Dib is a two-time world champion, winning the International Boxing Organisation super featherweight title and International Boxing Federation featherweight titles.
Trainer Billy Hussein is the man in his corner.
"This is a fight to open the door to a possible shot at another world title fight sometime in the first quarter of next year," Dib said.
Sampaio, 28, has a record of 19 wins, all by knockout wins.
Dib's professional record is 38 wins 21 by knockout and three losses. All of Dib's losses have been in world title fights.
The Engadine boxer said he was thrilled to be back at Hurstville.
"This is the first time back at Hurstville fighting since 2005 which was for the Australian superfeatherweight title.

"We are expecting between 1500 to 2000 people."
He will have 15 members of the Dragons NRL squad ringside.
"Dragons coach Paul McGregor wants me to come to training and run boxercise classes for the players," Dib said.
Dib has been helping the players at pre-season training at Wollongong.

Yes and they forgot to mention he also has 9 losses, 8 by KO and in his last fight he was knocked out by Jack Asis in two rounds and has a world rating of 241.

Dib/Brazilian was odd stoppage I'll have a look at it tomorrow or Monday
