    It was a foul.

He got knocked off balance and the shot that rocked him was on the ground.

    That's a rest. Pacquiao Barerra 2 style.

In the end he has to take responsibility. There is a cultural issue at hand and to be honest it's symptomatic of the wider Lebanese community as a whole. The good guys put up with the ****wits. They should be actively disowning them, but they feel that is disloyal to their community, in the end they all get tarred with the same brush.

This is a fair point you make and a sensible one...commonsense stuff.

The real question Phil which would help me understand the whole debacle at the end is:

Les Fear Called the fight off due to the fighter Yamaguchi being unable to continue. That is agreed.
Technically how should that fight have ended?
Not worried about any of the stuff leading up or bias to either fighter.
What was the right and technically correct decision given the blow conceded by Yamaguchi was taken while on the canvass?

I await your decisive expert opinion.:thumbsup

Thats what I think exactly, from a bystanders point of view Billy, Skinny and Hussy all seem like respectful human beings that go about their business, they are simply guilty by association with these other thugs that carry on like pork chops.
On watching the replay Billy Hussein acted very responsibly and did his best to defuse the tension, it was the 15 Pro-Dib guys ( a collection of overweight try hard types) who jumped in the ring straight away that added to the mayhem. I wouldnt be surprised if these guys have nothing to do with the boxing game apart from wanting to jump in the the ring to start a ruck and get their face on telly.

    However you look at it

1- Dib should have at least , Lost 2 points for such a disgraceful punch OR DQed

2- The ref should have given at least 5 minutes for him to recover from such a late punch but clearly the ref is a joke and as I said should be banned for a few months.

3- Dib acts like he is a world champ but still is a world chump and once again he gets a gift win, He was given the title last time he fought for it and that was one of the darkest acts in Aussie boxing.

4- Anyone who knows boxing knows Dib is just all hype and could not win a FIGHT let a lone a world title overseas.

However you look at it Dib is a clown who gets gift wins, END OF STORY

I agree, he has to take responsibility for his corner. There is no use saying he is a gentleman and don't include him for the loose ends from his corner.

Bloody hell, look how many of his corner ended up in the ring!

ZELKY does Billy have control and respect from his corner?

Mel you are not in possession of the facts in this case. It was not the corner that got in and got involved - it was relatives and friends of the fighter, repeat it was nothing to do with the corner or Billy Hussein at all

Ok Phil but I am damn sure if my brother was in the ring in the same situation my family would know by his lead or one look how to react.
Take Alex Leapai's family for instance at the N.Briggs fight, they were very vocal on the night and alot of his family were there to support him. The Elders are respected and they unite as a family with respect high on their agenda, I wish the same could be said for the Hussein camp.

I think you missed my point, so I shall go again. If a fighter is concussed by a blow legal or otherwise and he is in no shape to continue the fight is over for simple health reasons. If he has been fouled you do not give him 5 minutes to recover because you put a man at risk of getting a concussion on top of a concussion which put's a man's health in jeopardy. So if it is a deliberate foul DQ if it is an accidental foul TD - simple logic

But it's nothing to do with Billy Hussein because it's not his "camp" it's hangers on. And since when is it logical to compare one culture with another?

Who said anything about culture? Anyway I can't BF debating tit4tat crap.
KMA Boxing readers will digest the corner/family saga and make their own decision, you are welcome to come and debate the hangers on with them.

Where is team hussein/zelky when you need some direct answers answered?

You brought up the culture angle with Leapai. TBH Mel it is quite typical that if somebody doesn't agree with you, you toss your toys out of the cot. The fact clearly remains that you made statements about Billy Hussein that were completely erroneous - you are supposed to be a journo for pete's sake!

Phil when I wrote about the Leapai family i was not thinking about culture, we are all people FFS...Simple it's called respect! As for toys I don't have many, I don't get paid enough. Oh and I'm not a journo I am a freelance writer, free to write what I want when I want.
