Ohh well if we lose boxing on One HD there is only 1 man to blame - Billy Dib.

 

After the Vea McKracken fight it was just terrible to see the steaming turd Dib and his corner took on the night. What a dork Billy Dib is, I look forward to our own Amir Khan-lite being destroyed in the near future.

That was a disgrace. The officiating makes Germany's referee in the first Green Beyer fight seem fair and reasonable.

The other problem with officiating I had last night was in the fight with the Bolling fight: I was under the impression when a fighter lost a mouthguard, you were supposed to wait for a lull in the action: Not break the second it happens, and no warnings for it happening three times either...

The channel 10 colour men sound like they've seen a photo of Muhammad Ali and that was their qualification for doing boxing commentary, I respect Matt Sky Channels' passion but his delivery lacks drama or personality.

I will watch it every week and I'm going to go to the Hoppa Mirovic rematch at the AIS when its on here.

 

I'm of the opinion they won't throw away the next 3 weeks of programming because of lasts night event. They will however read the riot act to all camps for each of the upcoming bouts.

But maybe they should have done that first up. Didn't the NSW commission have a 3 team members in the ring rule only after Elomar-Kickett? If their rules have been broken time to get out the rule book and start handing out some suspensions.

IMO 6 months holiday to Yamaguchi for pushing the ref (even though I can understand his frustration)

6 months for Dib for being Pushy McPusher.

6 months sabbatical for Les Fear reffing fights at the Dubbo PCYC. 4 rounders only. Amateurs.

 

Others could share some responsibility here....

1. The insipid commentary of the whole debacle.....
2. The bizarre refereeing........
3. The entourage who entered the ring and encouraged the mayhem....

Any comment on Dibbs disgraceful action of intentionally striking a fighter while on the canvass?

Fight being declared a victory as a direct result of the above action?

 

Well at the very least the fight should be ruled a no-contest.

Even the WBO would want to wash their hand of that fight.

 

They def need to make an example out of Billy and Yamakaze so that no other camps get any funny ideas about playing up.
I would have liked to see a little bit more quality in the commentary and interviews, when that guy interviewed Kali Meehan and asked him if he was any closer to the "WA fight for the valuev title" atsch

 

I didn't mention the late late late yeah I've got time for a coffee before I have to get back late late punch because I really don't think they'll take any action on it. They should, but the annointed glamour boy of (NSW) Australian boxing has got the win they so much wanted in the first place.

Any DQ should have happened on the night and while I'd like to see the decision reversed I can't see it happening now.

Wouldn't it be good to have one main event in Australian boxing that didn't come back to **** refereeing? Mundine-Taylor? Mundine-Geale?

And Johnny Lewis, as a trainer I respect you but get him out of the hosts chair. After the fight "Ah, it was only a matter of time before Dib won anyway blah blah" jeez mate, why don't you go write for Ray 'Scoop' Wheatleys website.

 

The sports programming director of channel 10 was on the (Big sports breakfeast 2ky) and said it was a successful night and the incident whilst unfortunate will not affect future bouts.

 

It was a sucessful night - It just showed on the first night of the broadcast the utter lack of any real boxing knowledge on the Channel 10 team.

 

The Japanese fighter was a disgrace - he was blatantly fouling and making an arsewipe of himself right from the outset.

He disregarded instructions, deliberately kneed Dib in the face, struck him repeatedly when down and between the ropes not to mention the numerous rugby tackles.

Should have been DQ'd and I dont blame Billy for hitting the dog. I wish the fight had of gone longer so Dib could punish him. That left hook opening was there all night long.

Bottom line - no-one ever have that japanese fighter back again.:deal
