Dib, Soliman in big fights

Its a bit all up in the air....quillin is saying he is preparing for soliman and has agreed to that fight although it hasnt been signed. Quillin v mcewan is also being talked about as an opener on the angulo v kirkland card from cancun nov 5.

It sounds like Quillan v McEwan for the Angulo v Kirkland card is firming. Don't know where that leaves Sammy Soliman? It probably also means Geale will looking for an opponent again. Perhaps he'll just end up fighting Sammy?

Back to the old drawing board finding an opponent for Sammy then. Perhaps he will just end up fighting Daniel Geale?

 

Sammy can get back to fighting on fox Friday night fights as a stepping stone or take a decent payday in Germany prob and lose.

 

How about a matchup with Geale though? Sammy is about 8 in the IBF rankings. He's ahead of both Quillin and McEwan at the IBF.

 

I guess its a big possibility mate.

 

Why didn't they give Sam a payday and fight him instead of Albert in Tasmania? It's not as if Albert being the opponent sold the venue, Geale's name in Tasmania sold that so they could have given another Aussie a payday and a shot instead of Albert.

 

IMO it was because of Soloman V Mundine 1 and 2, Geale stated he's only taking the big fights and Mundine needs to step up if he wants a rematch .If he then gives a guy who mundine has beaten twice a shot it would have looked bad. If its he's mandatory then its out of his hands. Albert was unknown and he could sell him as dangerous opponent .

 

This stacks up pretty solidly and might also be a reason why Geale doesn't fight Sammy in future.

Watchin Martinez today if he turned up like that against Geale, Geale would school him and make him look very ordinary.
