He was never hurt by Mosley just stunned just alittle bit and that's it, and beyond all of that Cotto legitamized the WBA belt while it was in his possesion. And lets remember his fight with Margarito was going to be a unification bout but the IBF forced Margo to give up the belt. So it's not like Cotto has'nt tried to fight someone for there title.

What people don't realize is that the Jennings fight was forced on Cotto because Arum gave him the option of fight Jennings or sit out till the Margarito rematch, Cotto wanted to fight Berto and Williams.

No they did not. Margo vacated voluntarily. However, I would still give credit to Cotto for going after a champ. However, it's the only fight where he fought a champion.

You really are possessed aren't you?

I never mentioned Floyd, but somehow you bring him up every post! WTF? You simply cannot resist, huh?

    Well how about this...

Maybe Cotto should actually succeed at taking a belt from a champion. Ya know, the same way Margarito got his ****in belt took, before he started whining like a *****!

I know they did'nt force him to vacate the belt but they did give him the ultamatum(sp) of fight your mandatory Clottey or we will take it.

I sure as hell don't think he's scared.

but I don't think it's fair for people to talk shot to Berto for wanting to fight him. And some of the same people say he needs to step his competition up. And they're right about that part. He ain't no prospect no mo. He got a belt. Cotto ain't got no belt. He needes to put his belt on the line, and Cotto needs to take it from him. Simple as that.

That's incorrect. Go read the IBF rules. Their rules clearly state that unification bouts take priority over mandatories. Arum had a pre arrainged agreement that the winner of Cintron/Margo would vacate that title so that Clottey could fight for it.

Now come on homie when Cotto is hurt it's clear that he is hurt, he was never hurt in the Mosley fight. But every time Cotto gets hit flush people assume he is hurt.

Then why didn't he fight Clottey? Too much work for the amount of money I guess. That's been a recurring theme in boxing these days, seems like.

Okay I stand corrected, but that was a dumb move by Margo to vacate the IBF title when he could have been unified two of the four titles in his division.
