I get what you're saying but I highly doubt that Berto would do to Mosley what Floyd did to SSM.

Personally, I don't think anyone else in the sport would've. Let alone Berto. Berto is barely the third best Andre in the sport I can think of at the moment.

The thing is, he cannot fight inside very well at all, so at 154 he will
be even slower on foot and will be caught and dragged into a war,
    which he will lose.

His ideal weight would be 140.
Berto is a solid guy, bulked up with a fair bit of muscle, short fella, no
    doubt smashes the weights.
But lay off the weights, he'd make 140 easily and would be quicker on his
feet, which would suit his style - and his weakness, because he needs
to box - not get dragged into fighting on the inside.

What happened to Berto moving down?

Did Berto see something that we aren't does he see a hole in Cotto's armor

He goes from moving down to taking a fight at a higher class for a belt

I dont know if Berto will win but this is no walk in the park

    Two things:

    1. Cotto does not have an armor
    2. What Berto really sees is $$$

I'm a huge Cotto fan, but am I the only one that think Berto can take this? I mean, he has some fast and powerful hands... I can see him giving Cotto some trouble and having a fairly good chance of taking him out. I'm still a bit concerned about Cotto's chin ever since Margarito :(.

On Cotto vs Berto, the hand speed of Berto would worry me slightly with Cotto, Berto has a very quick straight right which Cotto seems susceptible to lately. A Berto at 154 still has enough power to rattle this version of Miguel.

On Berto vs Mosley, Mosley's marketability has gone down since a very lopsided loss to Floyd. With no title, limited drawing potential; the risk of a very live Shane Mosley in a bout wouldn't make sense. Could be a swan song sort of fight for Shane though, easily has the power to put Berto to sleep.

Cotto and his chin are fine. Everybody's looking at Cotto with a microscope since the Margo loss and while Cotto has slipped a little I think he's reshaping nicely under Stewart. Berto on the other hand, despite his solid record, is still remarkably and surprisingly untested.
The first rounds of this fight will tell everything. Berto has a lot of heart but if he shows any weakness in the opening rounds Cotto will hunt him down and destroy him. If the fight looks even in the early rounds I think Berto takes it, he has that nack for coming on stronger in the later rounds then you'd expect him to.
