I wouldn't go so far as to say Calzaghe would have beaten jones in his prime but i think if u stuck them both in the ring when they both at their prime, they both would have had problems. Joe with Roys speed and Roy with Calzaghes workrate. Roy would pip it in a VERY close fight imo.

    Dibella is a *****.

The ex-HBO sports boss has an agenda the size of his big fat ass.

He should have been in the legal profession.

this thread is a joke, He beat Toney, Hopkins and would have beating most fighters of any era you can think of in their primes, this has been proven truw polls over time in this forum... but NOOOO not Calzaghe, not him. PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK. We are talking about Roy Jones Jr, possible the best p4p fighters of all times in his prime and you insult him with thinking Calzaghe could have beating him at that time.

Calzage would have been a problem for a prime Roy Jones...The speed issue would be a problem for him, Who would win I would lean towards Jones but Calzage would always be a problem

how can you say that Calzaghe's speed was equal to Roy's back then ?

I think you guys are still to caught up with the Nov 8 fight.

He is one of the greatest 100 fighters of all-time... probably.

I count the top 50 only as true ATGs - so no, he is not close to an ATG IMO.

I knew this **** would come out after Calzaghe dominated a SHOT Jones. Seriously this match doesn't prove ANYTHING. Well maybe that Jones could take Calzaghes punches. It's like saying Larry Holmes would have dominated Ali in their prime because he dominated him in their match.
