Dibella would be right in not wanting Martinez to fight Pirog any time soon but he said never. So even if Pirog gets some more good wins under his belt Dibella wont let martinez fight him?

Martinez will beat Cotto, Margarito on one night, and Manny Pacquiao on another.

He's right. Bob Arum will never put any of them near Martinez.

Martinez is the hottest name in boxing at the moment (for boxing afficinados at least) but why not Pirog. He´s certainly tougher nut to crack than Dzinin...Dzinrukruk...Diz and Dat.

Seriously, Pirog would be a good match. One of the best at middleweight.

I think DiBella was pretty annoyed that Dzinziruk was forced on Martinez by HBO despite not really bringing anything to the table. Pirog would be a bigger challenge with the same reward (not much).

Unfortunately there aren't any mega-fights at 160 and I doubt we're ever going to see Pac or Floyd fight him. I think DiBella would love to make a fight with Cotto - as good as Miguel is, he doesn't belong anywhere near Middleweight, so it should be relatively easy for Martinez, who could also make good money and beat a big name.

    Martinez ducking Pirog?

I don't really see that. Fact of the matter is, he did get stripped and they just gave Pirog the belt, so I can imagine his stress on that matter, and I personally doubt Pirog would go anywhere near Martinez.

Well, to be honest, if Pacquiao can fight for a 154 title at a catchweight, then I'm sure he can fight Martinez, who was willing to come down to 157 (?).

Margarito and Cotto are also fighting at 154, so a catchweight on that end could surely be arranged.

There really isn't much for Martinez unless he goes up a division.

Why does DiBella get overexcited everytime his fighters win? Everyone else seem to be calm and a gentleman in Maravilla's team but DB sounds like he just had a quick visit at the toilet with Hatton and Calzaghe.

Pirog would a tougher challenge than Cotto or Margarito. Pirog is a legit MW. His name is not big enough though, and Martinez doesn't have many bouts left in his career. From a promoter's point of view, Cotto is a perfect fight for Martinez, who would win easily. From my point of view, Martinez-Cotto is worth nothing. Pirog would be more intriguing.
