Dibella - if no Chavez Jr., it'll be Andy Lee or Daniel Geale

For knocking out another MW top 10 filler, the chinny Asikainen. So true, he was there earlier, but still no world class win, and habitual struggles at a level below Ishe Smith (that's something you can't level against Pirog, or any of the top "prospects", including Jacobs).

Don't get me wrong, Pirog has no mandate at the champ, and while he hasn't gotten fair treatment by the networks, he could have done more to help his cause. I'd rather watch Sergio fight Pirog, but Geale or Lee are good fights also. But neither Barker nor these guys are any more deserving, maybe just better business.

 

1) Dibella is trying to make Martinez into a ticket seller. Not an HBO strictly fighter fighting 2x a year inside of empty arenas ala Timothy Bradley vs Devon Alexander. You know, the fight we screamed for and then got. There was nobody there to witness that 'spectacular fight', it was extremely boring, but hey, we figured out who the best fighter at 140 is. :-(

2) Sure, maybe Martinez can make a lot of money fighting Pirog in Russia or whatever, but HBO will not follow, he will not get a bigger fan base fighting in a place like Russia, and if he loses he's in an EVEN worse position than he is right now. You know, the legitimate Middleweight champion of the world and he is still ducked.

3) Dibella is nothing but ****ing right by matching Martinez against Lee, especially in a place like NY up East where there will be a big Irish following.

Dibella wants a ticket seller, an attraction. That will bring in a large revenue, regardless of HBO or not. You know Kathy Duva of Main Events she sells out places in the East without T.V. It's the same exact reason why Bob Arum does his PPV's. Because at the end of the day, it's going to be his way and not some T.V. outlets way.

 

Geale is the best MW other than Sergio. Lee might be #8 at the tops.

Wasn't RJJ ahead on atleast 1 card before his KO to Lebedev? Wasn't Tarver ahead on all the cards before he KO'd Green?

Geale, Lee, Pirog, Golovkin, PW, Ward, are all there available to fight, just pick the better option and be donne with it.

Chavez Jr. and Sturm don`t want the fight, Martinez`s team should force it but not waste much time. WBC and WBA are corrupt.
