Personally I've only seen Froch against Pascal where both look like a couple of windmills trying to take off at times.

What a bunch of ****ing looney conspiracy theorists on here, claiming that DiBella is making up the fact that HBO doesn't want the fight as a way to duck Froch. Are you kidding me? HBO is on the record as not having any interest in the fight... it was on every boxing website known to man in the past month.

Ridiculous that a few of you Brits found something in the article to give you a reason to claim Taylor is trying to duck Froch... there's an offer on the table for Froch to accept a U.S. date on a major U.S. network... if they were trying to duck the man, they wouldn't have made him a legitimate offer, would they?

Some of you wouldn't know a duck if it **** in your face... Taylor has shown his willingness to fight anyone... if the Froch fight doesn't get made, you can bet it's not because Taylor is scared of someone who went life and death with Jean Pascal.

it boils down to the fact that americans are more interested in making money than they are in winning world titles.

another reason why boxing is dieing a slow death.

    A bit of hyperbole perhaps:hey

I'm just sick of hearing about how a guy with Jerman's resume' is ducking Carl Froch.

If Taylor fights Allen "I Robbed Emmet Linton At Gun Point" Green, I would have trouble continuing to support him.

Don't be foolish - it's not just an American problem. Kessler's promoter is about to sign him to a meaningless fight with Mads Larsen because it will make tons of money in Denmark. Pacquaio and Hatton can't get their **** settled because of financial disagreements. Warren put Calzaghe in front of stadium crowds for years making money off of largely meaningless fights.

So please cut the anti-American crap.

Taylor isn't afraid to fight the best-just check his resume. I'd like to see Taylor-Froch happen but I won't complain if he fights Ward, Dirrell, or Glen Johnson either. All fighters through boxing's history have faced or not faced certain fighters based on money. This is absolutely nothing new and it in no way means someone is afraid of someone else. Basically, if Taylor fought some no-hoper instead of Froch then I could see a reason to complain. But if he fights someone of similar stature instead than I don't see the problem.

This is an absolutley WONDERFUL oppurtunity for DiBella to showcase Taylor's skills on say "Spike TV".....we could showcase Taylor vs. the WBC Supermiddle Titleholder, on live TV on Saturday night, and "**** HBO"....Versus or Fox's "Best Damn Sports Show" could also do very well with this fight. With a strong undercard, good interviews and training scenes, it would be a big show and take away some power from HBO.

I have no idea how much money any of these fighters would generate but if HBO is on board then those fights would probably pay Taylor more. Ward and Dirrell are developing but I believe they would be just as, if not more, dangerous than Froch. Any of those fights are fine by me including Froch.

Can you give us details of the offer then, I weren't aware they had been released?

Taylor isn't afraid to fight the best. He has shown a lack of willingness to move outside his comfort zone in his career however, even to move his career forward.

That's not the same thing at all, it's not something that should be ignored, however.

Pulling out of an eliminator against Eastman to earn a shot at Hopkins was one example. The setback to his career was only one fight in that example, but if things had worked out differently it could have been more serious. Now we have him turning down a title shot against Froch to fight an elimainator for the same title shot. And now potentially again turning down a title shot to fight a no better opponent for no title. All not because he was 'afraid' of the opponent, but because he wouldn't go outside his comfort zone to move his career forward.

I'd love to see Taylor in with Kessler, for example. I think that fight will happen in the future. But it will only happen because Kessler is prepared to do what Taylor isn't. If Kessler had the same attitude as Taylor then the fight would never happen (in the same way as Jones v Michalczewski never happened, because they both had the same attitude). Fortunately, Kessler has shown already in his career that he is prepared to move out of his comfort zone - fighting Mundine in his hometown, Calzaghe in his hometown, going to Germany and to the US. That's why Kessler v Taylor will happen. It's a shame that Taylor doesn't have more of that kind of spirit, however.

DiBella has made a formal offer to Froch's people for a March 28th fight on Showtime, most likely in St. Louis where the Spinks-Latimore fight would be on the undercard (both are St. Louis natives).

The details of the purse have not been released, AFAIK.
