So where on earth has this $50,000,000 come from?

"We're very happy to fight for 70 percent of 7.15 million on our side," DiBella told ESPN. "There was never any chance that Deontay was going to vacate his title.

    Did someone win the lottery?

Dudes been an embarrassment to boxing since Joe Rogan wiped the floor with him in their MMA vs. boxing debate on ESPN

Two difference scenarios: Povetkin wouldn’t have generated any interest from Las Vegas because Russians won’t travel ... Brits will.

Wilder hadn’t beaten Ortiz at that time. His stock has risen. Povetkin hadn’t done anything like AJ has — beating Klitschko in a fight seen by a lot of Americans.

Wilder-AJ has PPV potential in the USA ... if properly promoted by the end of the year it can do well enough with buy-in from Vegas to cover the $$$.

I don’t recall these questions when Hearn was offering above-market for Wilder vs. Whyte — where is Whyte’s proven drawing power at that level to cover millions of dollars?

If Hearn and AJ want the fight, they’ll say “YES WE ACCEPT.” And then it’s on Wilder’s team to produce. If they can’t, they’ll be exposed.

Until an offer has been formally drawn up in writing (i.e. a contract) there's nothing to accept. So far as we know that isn't the case.

You don't accept something on someone's good faith then hope they come up with the goods later. Certainly not when this amount of money is (supposedly) on the table.

You have that completely backwards. You agree to terms and then draw up the contract. If they agree to terms, they’ll get a contract.

I don’t recall a single person saying Eddie Hearn’s previous offer of $12M to Wilder or his offer of $4M to fight Dilly Dilly Whyte weren’t offers because he hadn’t had a contract drawn up and sent.

They have an offer on the table. If Hearn and AJ want to take it, all they have to do is accept and they will, presumably, get a contract. If the offer is a bluff and they say YES WE TAKE IT, SEND THE CONTRACT and Wilder’s side doesn’t put it on paper, Hearn will have a field day and Wilder’s side will have to accept Hearn’s offer or walk away.

EDIT: In my job, I’ve been part of contract negotiations. No one has EVER sent a contract (either to us or from us) without first talking terms. Once we say (or they say), “Yes, we have a deal” then you have the contract drawn up. It’s silly to draw up and send a contract if the other side hasn’t indicated that they will take the offer.

You can smell the fear in this thread. Brits are terrified AJ might face Wilder.

typical rinse and repeat method applied by delusional Wilder fanboi.

We want the fight you mong, AJ will obliterate him, making him obsolete and then you fake "fans" can go find another ***** to ride.

There is a reason why we have the saying "if something seems to good to be true is usually because it is actually to good to be true".

Good PR stunt and the best way Wilder team to take some heat off themselves and they can go and claim AJ didn't want it...

    Hopefully he calls their bluff..

Talking terms? They are due to meet Friday so why throw out an offer on Wednesday claiming it needs to be agreed within 24 hours. You don't find that strange considering an agreed meeting is on Friday?

The offer didn't even come from management. Hearn has responded they are definitely interested as long as the money is real.

Wilder does not want to fight Joshua for any amount of money, he just runs his mouth, then disappears. Povetkin was proven innocent, but Haymon and the WBC framed him, ever after he was cleared by VADA and now he has won in court!!! Joshua waiting for Povetkin to get old, Joshua is younger than Wilder so he can't count on age to protect him. Wilder is a fraud............

To generate 50M. It has to reach a minimum of 1M U.S. PPV.
Both AJ and Wilder has 0 previous PPV record in the US. I have a hard time figuring where the money is from, but I'm no businessman. Good luck to them as I really want to see the fight.

Makes sense contract wise but asking to see the funds isn’t unreasonable is it?
