In the Jesse Feliciano fight it was clear that Cintron's body was too vulnerable against a good body puncher, Margarito is a good body puncher and he KO Cintron, Cotto is a good body puncher and he will KO Cintron. Even Feliciano lasted like 11 rounds withoout tasting the canvas once. And Cotto will do modifications in his training sessions. Cotto by KO

In the Judah, Corley, Torres and Margarito fight it was clear that Cotto's chin was too vulnerable against a powerful puncher, Corley is not a powerful puncher or fighter for that matter and had Cotto out on his feet. Even Lovemore N'dou lasted 12 rounds without tasting Canvas once. Cintron can do modifications too. Cintron by KO.

It's sad how so many Ricans abondoned Cintron after his 1st loss to Margarito.

 

Yeah fans can be a fickle bunch, especially the bandwagoners.

 

The reason Cintron got discouraged vs MArg is because he threw his best punches and Marg literally laughed them off. Cotto got discouraged too but didn't wait to get ko'd . Cintron wont get discouraged vs Cotto cuz he knows cotto could get dented and no matter how much he's getting beat he knows one punch could change things.

 

This would be a fun fight. I would love to see. I expect Cotto to outlast Cintron who tends to give in whenever he sees his own blood.

 

I'd like to see this fight. Cotto has to be the favorite but Cintron can really punch. It'd be a very interesting fight.

 

50/50 fight. People who say Cotto knows Cintron needs space to set up his punches seem to forget that although Margarito could get very close to Cintron, he has been decked with some monsterpunches. It is one thing that Margarito could walk straight through them, I dont think Cotto can without any effect. The quote about Cintron only throwing 1,2 and then covers up was quite funny, but Cintrons 1,2 is extremely good.
What i think is, this is a bad matchup for Cotto if he really plans another fight this year. His body will need time to heal. If Cotto - Cintron takes place 2008, my money is on Cintron. Cintron is underrated. He had a terrible tactic vs. Margarito though. He never clinched and let Margarito pound his body. No ring smarts at all. Like the way he fights though.
