Tiger. Much more willing to test and prove himself against the very best. Mayweather at his peak was the more skilled fighter technically, though Tiger's no slouch in that regard, but he never really proved his efficiency the way Tiger did, and so many other fighters for that matter.

Tiger has quality wins over Webb, Fullmer, Carter, and Benvenuti. One of the great middleweights who looked great in his prime, but I have Mayweather ahead based on him being the superior fighter skill wise. H2H he is also very highly rated at the lower weights and his pre-140 resume can definitely compete with Tiger's.

Gotta go with Floyd, though I hate him. Much more dominant in his era thanTiger was in his.

Do you think that could be chalked up to the fact that he never fought Tiger's level of opposition?

Mayweather has fought the best his era has had to offer, for the most part, and won. Tiger lost.

I do have them relatively close Tiger spending three years as the best middle and one year as the best lt heavy. But Mayeather spent more time at the top of more divisions, hasn't really lost (though I scored Castillo one for Castillo) and has been regarded as the best fighter for a few years of his era, P4P where I don't think Tiger really ever was.

No, not even close actually. Tiger has many more quality wins than the ones you mentioned.

I've got to give Tiger the edge here. Floyd may be better technically and has some quality wins, but I feel Tiger competed and succeeded in an overall tougher era, winning championships at both Middle and Lt. Heavy.

Hard to say. Floyd was more consistent, but Tiger had the bigger and more impressive achievements IMO. Floyd probably could've gone down as better had he taken more risks and proved more against the top fighters in his divisions.

I don't see that at all.

    Tiger's resume:
    Fullmer (twice)
    Giardello (twice)
    Benvenuti
    Torres (twice)

That's seven wins over four separate HOFers right there. That's not counting the wins over quality contenders like Webb, Carter, Fernandez, Hank, Mims, etc., or a future champ like Downes.

    Floyd's resume, pre-140:
    Corrales
    Castillo (twice)
    G. Hernandez

Who else? Manfredy? Chavez? N'Dou? Even adding guys like that on, I don't see that list comparing to Tiger's.

Tiger clearly. Floyd is probably more talented but Tiger fought way better opposition!

Except Mayweather didnt stop at 135 and he was only fighting 130-135 championship fights for 4 years, Chavez and Manfredy were both top 5 130lbers when Floyd fought them. Ndou was a highly ranked undefeated contender. Hernandez was considered no1 when FMJ beat him and Corrales and Castillo proved to be the top 2 from 135 over a 5year period.

Above 135 he fought DLH, Judah, Baldomir and Hatton, thats a total of 4 linear champions (2 past/ 2current) back to back above his prime weight. DLH past prime but that was in FMJs 5th weight class.

Mayweather was also more dominant, more skilled and proved himself a champion in 5 weight classes in 20 championship bouts. You also have to take into account losses
