I'm not saying Hearns is gonna park a guy like Big Dick Tiger like a Ford Pick-Up Truck as he did with smaller guys such as "Cuevas & Duran," but it is possible for Hearns to pump his jab while circling the ring slicing and dicing Tiger's face pretty good to force a TKO stoppage or a 12 dec. on points.......... No way Tiger could beat Hearns from the outside at long range.... Tiger would have to charge and maul Hearns with brute force and power..... But Tiger would take wicked shots in return while attacking Hearns...... Tiger had a damn good chin, but I'm not sure it was better than Hagler's........ MR.BILL
I hate to dissagree with my friend Bill but Tiger is much more accomplished. Roldan could have actually beaten Tommy if he hadnt dropped his hands by his waist and let Tommy club him over the head.
Yes, but I clearly saw how weak Hearns was by dropping back down to 160 in Oct. 1987 to fight Roldan for the vacant WBC title on PPV...... Hearns' legs were wobbly while walking into the ring......... In the end, come the 4th round, Roldan basically walked right into Hearns' sizzling right cross that decked him for the full count face first on the floor........ Hearns did catch a few solid shots from Roldan that hurt and stunned him prior to scoring the KO........ :good NOW! Whether or not Denny Andries was a clustered **** of a WBC 175 lb. champion in early '87 is anyone's opinion, but he was still in great shape with muscles and built very similar to that as of Big Dick Tiger....... Andries was floored half a dozen times by Hearns during the fight, and I thought Hearns looked real good at 173 pounds......... Hearns had strength and his power for that fight........ Dropping back down to 160 after hammering Andries was a bad move......... BUT!! Hearns made lotsa' money there, so who can really blame him??? :yep:shock: MR.BILL
This is a very interesting match up ... Hearns has huge height , reach, speed and power advantages. Tiger has an iron chin, tremendous physical strength and stamina ... A classic match up. I think the best of Hearns has a chance at a 12 round decision but he'd have to be at his very best.
Tiger was outpointed by E. Griffith twice, and put the worst whuppin' on Hurricane Carter that he ever got. So Hearns would be fighting someone in between those 2 extremes.
In an actual matchup, Dick Tiger would've mauled Hearns. Hearns could KO anybody and always has that chance, but I see Mr. Ihetu coming in low under the jab and obliterating Tommy's ribs. And there is Tommy's chin, too.
