This would have been a brutally entertaining match up and it was a missed opportunity for these two to fight while they were both active at the time. Does a puncher like Lausse have any chance at all against a guy like Tiger who is known to thrive in a slugging match and does he have the firepower hurt him bad?
Lausse used to have problems with Andrés Selpa, Selpa was a brute sluggish maniac that had no fear (especially because it is documented that he fought while high on cocaine) and Lausse apparently didn’t know what to do with that *******. Now, Lausse beat Gene Fullmer, I said that in a recent thread, I can’t say he had issues with agressive tough guys when he beat Gene Fullmer. I don’t know. And Tiger is a guy that I should Watch more
Lausse had the power to hurt anyone, but Tiger had a very good chin and a better overall game.Tiger by dec.
I think Lausse is basically a better version of Florentino Fernandez, & a fight w/ Tiger would basically follow the same pattern as Floro's fight w/ him. Lausse also had his hands full holding off a somewhat small-ish MW in Chico Varona before coming up w/ a one-punch KO. This content is protected
Hi Buddy. I would back Tiger with a sizeable bet, punchers were grist to his mill, cant see Lausse doing what Carter couldn't do, furthermore can't think of any big hitter that I would favour over him, he could be outboxed, but very few would be able to stand up close and muscle Tiger. stay safe FR, long admired your knowledge and insight .
Exactly! Referee Arthur Mercante said that Tiger was the strongest man he ever had to break from a clinch. And this was after he had refereed fights with guys like Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Ali, Lyle, LeDoux, etc.
