2 great MWs that would have made a crowd pleasing battle. Does Tiger mug Martinez with his superior strength and brawling ability or can Martinez outbox Tiger with his quicker feet and unorthodox style?

Without looking, I feel like Tiger would be greatly outreached here, Sérgio was fairly taller ..

So long as Martinez keeps moving and keeps it at range, he has the ability to hit and run all night long. Unfortunately Martinez has power of his own, and might be lured into a series of exchanges with DT, which I don't think would end well for him. DT was kind of slow and had trouble with the boxers, but he was very dangerous in a shootout.

I'm going with the greater speed and athletic ability of Martinez. I like Tiger a lot but Martinez has very noticeable advantages in handspeed and foot speed. Martinez also showed that he can handle stronger fighters like Pavlik who was significantly bigger than Tiger who was strong for his era but remember, Pavlik is a guy who had to boil down to make 160 and would certainly be a lighheavyweight in Tigers era. Of course Tiger won the title at lightheavy but he did so weighing well under the 175 limit and I believe he was only 170 when he got starched by Bob Foster. Despite Tiger's rep for his strength in his era, I just can't see him being stronger than Pavlik. UD Martinez.
