Martinez gives Tiger some early problems, but I think Tiger slowly grinds him down and punishes him. Tiger was just a weeeee bit more skilled then Pavlik.
Some crazy bull**** threads in the Classic forum lately.."illegals" from the General forum crossing through an unguarded border into Classic it seems.
Martinez has just put 2 back to back great performances back to back despite being past his prime that shows he deserves to be talked about in this company. Martinez would be very tricky for Tiger, with his movement, countering skills, defense and a tricky southpaw style. Tiger would prove an offensive threat that Martinez has never encountered, but his footwork and outside boxing skill is far better Martinez UD (unless Tiger catches up to him, which I think he may well ride through even if it happens)
Martinez is not the kind of mobile technical fighter that bothered the Tiger at or near his best. He'd get ****ed up severely when trying to leap in with those right hooks and lose almost all of the exchanges.
This one would go the way the Pavlik fans thought last night would go. Martinez takes the first two or three rounds before Tiger adjusts and gets into his game. Tiger would take advantage of Martinez'z defensive mistakes much better than Pavlik did. Tiger by clear decision or lat stoppage.
