pretty straight forward question. posted it on that other forum but got no responses. Anyways, Great boxer. Really strong and powerful but still a cagey boxer overall. Fought plenty of great fighters himself. How does he do vs: 1. Hagler 2. Monzon 3. Ketchell 4. Hopkins 5. SRR 6. LaMotta 7. Toney 8. SRR etc
IMO, he beats Ketchell, LaMotta, and Toney, but likely gets outboxed by most of the rest. Also, you put "SRR" twice - did you mean to say SRL for one of those?
Tough call for me here. I haven't seen enough of Tiger in his middleweight losses to see how the others would translate, but it seems like he was probably a tier below the best of the best at middleweight H2H. I think his best odds are against Toney. Out of the fights I'd like to see, Tiger-LaMotta would be an incredible, and not the kind of fight for the faint-hearted.
1. Hagler - favor Hagler big 2. Monzon - favor Monzon big 3. Ketchell - favor Ketchell big; I'm high on Ketchell 4. Hopkins - favor Hopkins by a solid amount, less that the other 1-5 5. SRR - favor Sugar Ray big 6. LaMotta - would favor Tiger 7. Toney - would favor Tiger probably; but less confident than I'd be about LaMotta I'd favor Tiger over guys like Papke, Valdes, Jackson, Taylor, Pavlik. Eh, I don't know part of me says Jackson and Pavlik would be 50/50 with Tiger... Hmm, tough call. Would really have to think about Benvenuti, Kalambay, Griffith, Sergio; but probably would favor them all over him. Good thread.
Yeah, Monzon and Hagler definitely beat Tiger, probably a clear but competitive decision. LaMotta and Tiger go to war. I think he has a huge chance to beat Hopkins, he is just as smart as Hop and Hop couldn't hurt him. The only ones that would have a chance to stop Tiger here would be Monzon and SRR, and Monzon would have to wear him out first. It's tough to say. I think he would definitely beat up Sergio, though, if you're talking about Sergio Martinez. Great reply.
Man Lamotta/Tiger would be fireworks. As would Fullmer/Tiger IMO I think Tiger wins those. I think he'd lose to most of the other top 10 though barring maybeeee Ketchel.
