Who takes this one? Tiger is tougher and stronger and Hearns boxes better and hits harder. My feeling is that at 160 Dick Tiger wins this one. As hard as Tommy cranks those right hand bombs I think Dick can take them and wear down Hearns possibly stopping him later on in a war.

I've never liked picking Tommy over proven great Middleweights. Tiger could be outboxed I suppose, and wasn't a devastating hitter, but I think he pressures Tommy and breaks him down physically over a long fight, probably stopping in the last few rounds.

I think Tiger was a very damaging puncher. Very deceptive KO percentage.

Hearns was best when he knew his challenge and prepared for it mentally. I think he stops Tiger in 8.

:roflYou just get worse and worse. Tiger's chin was made of titanium. It took the hardest hitting Lt. Heavyweight of all time to crack it 15 pounds above his natural weight. I'm not even sure he was ever rocked particularly badly apart from that and the flash Griffith knockdown. And many of the guys he fought were bigger hitters than Hearns at Middleweight.

At 160 pounds Tiger would win.

Tiger wins a decision, or late TKO

What about a match-up at LHW

Hearns is being underrated at middleweight. The problem with Tommy is that when he fought at middleweight he was always moving up and down in weight not get set at the weight. I should have said I think it would end in 8th round TKO.

Tiger would've put Hearns in the hospital. Nothing against Tommy but his weaknesses would only be too exploitable in this one.

If we see the Tiger of the third Fullmer fight, it would not bode well for Hearns. He cannot risk an overly cautious approach against Hearns though.

:deal..yes he was a damaging puncher...as Rubin Carter would have to admit..but as Tiger aged, he became more conservative...going for decisions more and more. I think he would have been too strong for Hearns..he would have ground out a unanimous decision over 15..being much stronger than Tommy in the last 5 rounds.
