Ive only seen these guys fight 3 or 4 times tops but would love this to build into a british title fight 12-18months down the line (bellew can move on ;))

The north east has had no decent local fights for so long it is a joke and with the newcastle/sunderland rivalry this would be a massive fight up here.

What are peoples thoughts on this even getting to this stage? And also the outcome of the fight if they might in 12 months?

Both look like they will take a decent shot but i would favour Dickinson just to edge it with his greater aggression.

I would like to Dickinson go for the English belt, now vacated by McIntosh, next

I'd take Jeffries. Not like he wouldn't have beat that lot Dickinson faced.

It would be a security nightmare for exactly that reason.

Someone's getting sparked. I go for Jaffa just cos he seems to have that classier dig. Not a great fighter but if he lands he probs spark Dickinson.

aye your right there, still a fight id love to see.

be interesting to see how dickinson develops as he looks quite predictable but has a good intensity about him, whereas jefferies looked similar but has a new trainer behind him and will develop him hopefully.

big fan of both fella's and both require steady progression

Thats the one thing that gives Jeffries a certain interesting angle is if he learns to use it well he does have 1 punch ko power

quick question, why is groves rated so highly when dickinson beat him twice? is this due to there performances in the pro's? or how they have been promoted? cheers :thumbsup

imo, jeffries lacks talent, yes he can punch, but unless its a punchbag he's aiming at, they are unlikely to land on a reasonably competant pro fighter, dickenson has more drive, and a better punch himself than jeffries other opponents, cuts to one side, from what ive seen dodson stops either of them in a 10 rounder.

Dickinson isn't much cop either and no he's not a puncher. Just because he knocked over some tomato can means nothing. After all Malignaggi gets a stoppage when the opponent is so heavily outmatched. He fought guys that were pretty much crap, nobody that even Jeffries wouldn't beat quite easily.

I think Jeffries would stop him, he's as stiff as a board.

Groves won 2 ABA titles. Dickinson didn't.
