Did Abel Sanchez really say with a straight face getting paid less $10 million was insulting?

I can't blame Golovkin for wanting to renegotiate his money if there was no ongoing contract to honor, but I generally agree with your assessment. The guy's a shocking whiner, a dullard and a hypocrite.

I'd add, any time there is a gentleman's agreement in place with regard to how big a take a trainer will be receiving for his services in the longterm, you have to sympathize with the trainer who expects that agreement to be honored, even if he has no legal leg to stand on. Some people work on faith that such agreements will be honored and don't wish to compromise relationships by insisting they be put in writing.

Is GGG really getting 100 million or is that like the max he could possibly make if he fulfills his contract and wins every fight? If he's making 100 mill then yeah that was a scumbag move on G's part. Give the guy an extra 8m and keep training camps the same. If we're being honest gennady has not looked that great since the split.

I wasn't talking about Abel, I don't know if he had any particular verbal agreement in place with Golovkin. It was a general statement.

Fighters also have the opportunity to say "I'm the product here, not you, take your 10 percent and shove it up your ass". And there ain't nothing Abel can do about it.

If they're not under contract, of course they are. Although, real men who aren't painfully insecure would put it in more civil terms than those, especially when dealing with an old associate.

Which is beside the point I was making to you, in response to your point about trainers making more money than fighters, i.e. fighters have the chance to go on and train fighters themselves, thus having a livelihood beyond their ring purses.

Never really liked Sanchez, but I am a Golovkin fan. Something about him rubs me the wrong way.
For others, might be how GGG and Sanchez have acted past the split.

I do wish he didn't speak as much english in his interviews, he comes across differently when he isn't limited by a foreign language.

I appreciate it may be hard to get your personality across with a language barrier but I still think 2 mill out of 100 is....well it speaks for itself.

On another note regarding language barrier, I’m 100% sure Usyk is trolling everyone with his supposed lack of English. ‘I am feel’. Lol. He’s a character

I still have a hard time feeling sorry for a guy turning down 2 million.
In the same way nobody has sympathy for Wilder turning down Joshua while citing, “We asked how much is Joshua getting, and we were never told the answer.” as the reason.

I don't think it started out that way for Usyk, but at this point I wouldn't doubt it.

It does not sit right with me for the product to be making less than the parasite. In no other sport that I know of does the coach make more money than the athlete. **** this system.

Then you're struggling with the concept of free enterprise. Are you blaming a trainer for having multiple clients? I'm fairly sure you're a capitalist, based on previous exchanges, but you don't sound like one at present.

Parasite? Have you ever worked with any boxing trainers? Do fighters become parasites as soon as they become trainers?
