Robbery of the year. Rios is a great brawler, but can easily be out pointed by a good boxer. I don't think that is ever going to change.
The robbery of the year was that it was a PPV. I have never seen this fight and that could be another reason why you don't hear much about it, no exposure.
I was under the impression that this robbery was pretty much universally accepted by people. Guess I was wrong. Abril got ridiculously jobbed.
Anybody who thought that was a healthy rios in that ring vs abril is easily a damn troll. Thats a second time in a row rios fail to make weight. He look like a dead zombie. In the rematch i think a healthy rios wins by late tko.
Nobody is asking if he was healthy or not . All the that was being asked was " Did Abril get robbed against Rios ?"
It's not that he held. He stopped throwing punches. No one is asking him to brawl with Rios. But don't stop fighting. He just stood there and let Rios wail away. Rios didn't hurt him, but he was landing quite bit on the inside.
