Following his first loss to Ruiz in 2019 he admittedly tried to turn himself from a power puncher to some "slick" style boxer. Should he have simply always trusted his awesome power and viewed the Ruiz loss as just a one-off? Maybe he'd be champ right now?
He always had the tools but it was his mental that was the problem. Hopefully he has control of that now.
No I don’t think so, it’s been a process. I think Joshua has found a very nice balance between all his assets now.
Exactly. If not Ruiz 1.... Joshua would not be this killing Machine Rn. All hail to Great fat Andy jr.
Aj has mental problems where he became gunshy post wlad kd. He also got beaten by a better boxer in Usyk, it happens. He's still best of the rest though.
He will not get caught so easily. He knows exactly who he is Rn. And Ruiz rematch, Usyk journey made a better boxer from him. He connected power with technique. He can now pick apart almost every style of boxer with exception of prime Usyk probably. And I really like his jab. Davidson will make a Diamond. And He has also much better stamina and gas tank now than Klitschko AJ. And also zero pressure with 0 on the record. He already Lost... He looks much more relaxed, but in the samé time focused.
His problem was believing the bull**** that was blown up his arse. He discovered focus, now he's pretty much the finished product.
He didn't fight slick, he fought scared because he's a bully fighter. One loss and he spent years scared of being KO'd. All his fangirls think he's the second coming again now because he ducked both Fury and Wilder to fight Wallin, then ducked Parker/Zhang/Croatian to fight MMA meathead. He literally took the easiest fights he could get away with and people think he's a brave hero of boxing. All we saw lately is when he has the advantages he can be the bully again. Nothing has changed. And you wonder why it's so easy for Hearn and Matchroom to fool the 'market'.
