    Yes or no?

Did Povetkin's performance surpass your expectation of how you thought he'd perform before the fight?

Did he prove anything new to you that you weren't aware of, before the fight?

Yes. He did much better than I expected. But the outcome was still the same.

as predicted, fought gamely until he gassed. lack of peds, and onset of middle age, guaranteed he gassed out.

weakazz choice of opponent for a title defence.

He did a little better than I expected. I thought Povetkin with his aggressive style and Joshua being so static, Povetkin would land with some hard shots and he might even rock Joshua. But Joshua's size and power would see him eventually take over the fight.

I expected Joshua to trade more with Povetkin, the fact he tried to box more behind his jab showed he isn't the same Joshua as before, he's more cautious will take fewer chances and bide his time until he can unload.

    What I thought really

Expected him to give AJ lots of problems and land a few early on and thought AJ would catch and stop him before the 9th

AJ hits very hard and I think people questioned that after the Takam and Parker fights but he did break his nose from a head butt early on against takam and Parker didn’t exactly engage much so what do you expect.

I couldn’t care less about a whyte rematch but fights against the Fury’s and Wilder will be very interesting

I could still see povetkin beating whyte actually

No there was a reason why Wilders protectors made a fake drug fail against him...

because they didnt, pov is a convicted drug cheat. you are not a drug cheat sympathiser, i hope.

we should recognise povs qualities, np, he is a good contender when prime, but also recognise his self-conflagrations.

No, not at all. My only surprise was Joshua putting him away in the 6th after losing most of the rounds.

No. Povetkin was still a dangerous opponent and was well prepared , Joshua and his team knew they had a tough fight with him. They said it many times during the build-up.

Yes. After reading your pre fight posts I expected Joshua to step on a tiny ant sized man and for the fight to be over before it started.

I was expecting a late round KO, not a mid round one. Povetkin did better early on because Joshua seemed subdue, and extra cautious. It became apparent when he stopped retreating back, and coming forward with combinations, that Povetkin couldn't take that kind of fire power. And that foolish agression from Alexander's was his undoing. The bodybuilder lost his temper and put him down with one clean combination. That's exactly what will happen with that puny Usyk, he might start off well outbox Joshua, but once he starts slowing down mid rounds, the cumbersome weightlifter will have him out of there. Lol.

I expected him to trouble Joshua but getting broken down eventually. He got broken down even a bit earlier as I expected.

Povetkin should have went on his bike in the 6th but he kept coming forward. You can befuddle Femi for four or five rounds with a strong skill set but sooner or later one is going to land if you stay in range.

I was expecting Joshua to jab, grab and lean on Povetkin.
