No and I picked the round where it ended.

Povetkin had a killer's rowe of sparring partners , all top up and comers who were Joshua like guys in some way like Dubious and Sirenko vs Joshuas guys who were not good choices like Bakole...he didn't get good work in the ring and it made the fight that much harder.

I knew it would be a similar type fight to the Takam one , a better prepared Joshua this time around however vs a great prepared Povetkin Better then Takam by levels read like around mid round stoppage to me. And that's what happened.

Those thinking Wilder is in for an easy fight should read what I just posted real carefully !!!

Nope, since I was proclaiming all over the site that Povetkin was going to give AJ hell and possibly KO him. I can't say I was shocked at all.

To an extent yes, although I always knew he was a dangerous fighter and Joshua would have his hands full.

No i expected Povetkin to perform well while he was standing because im a Boxing fan and have seen how good he is throughout his career. I knew Joshua wouldnt just roll over him because as a Boxing fan i can also see the champions flaws and even though he is a more physically gifted Boxer than the Russian hes not quite as technically gifted so i knew this could be a tough fight for AJ.

Personally i still place Povetkin as the 2nd best heavyweight in the division, 1 behind Joshua who sits top and ahead of both Fury and Wilder.

No. I knew Povetkin with his superior experience and his ability to fight on the inside would put up a good challenge for Joshua, but also knew that Povetkin being 38 would run out of steam after 5 or 6 rounds and would be easy picking for Joshua once he did.

Povetkin confirmed that Joshua still doesn't protect his body well and doesn't keep his right hand up when he throws the left, which is why Povetkin kept tagging him with counter rights. That would be a fatal mistake against Wilder or even a prime Chisora, who can knock your head off with one punch.

That said it was a good learning experience for Joshua.

Unfortunately at 38 Povetkin didn't have the legs to go on his bike. His only option was to come forward, but he didn't have the stamina to sustain the pressure needed to break Joshua down.

Yes. Didn't expect him to land so hard and so often.

Yes. Given Povetkin's age and his performance against Klitschko, I expected a pretty one-sided trouncing.
