They're very controversial and George Foreman said he believes Ali has never beaten Kenny Norton. I have watched the fights and it's a very hard call. Anyone have any input on this?

I think he won the 2nd fight close but clear lost the first and the 3rd one I thought Norton edged him.

George Foreman is still bitter about being KTFO by Ali in the rumble, I wouldn`t take what he says regarding Ali seriously at all.

Norton won the first fight, Ali won the second fight, I`ve only seen highlights of the third fight so can`t say for sure who won.

No... I have it 3-0 Norton, but on the other hand I am a Foreman fan.

Who says Ali won the 3rd fight needs his head examined though. I remember the riot that broke lose after they announced the scores. Horrible robbery.

I had it Norton edging the first, Ali edging the second and Norton clearly won the third.

On the whole, I'd say Norton generally got the better of Ali, no matter what the results say.

I thought Norton won the first and lost the other two.
I saw the third fight and scored it myself on a 10 point system and gave it to Ali.
I'm thinking some people think Ali lost the third because he generally didn't look as good as he usually did and because Norton came on strong right at the end of the fight

I though Ali won the second one, lost the first and edged out the third. In the third match post interview he admitted he lost the fight lol. Awesome dude never ducked anyone even if it was a terrible style matchup.

Saw them fight in Yankee Stadium. Ali clearly did enough to win. Norton didn't do enough. Got out boxed.

NORTON was a counter punch, his strategy was to let ali come to him all night, block his shots and counter. Depending on the judge, they may see it as norton is just running away , not being the aggressor and landing the occasional counter, or they may see it as Ali is being blocked by the invincible norton and being countered despite all his agression coming forward. I am more inclined to view it as the former rather than the later, its hard to win fights being a counter puncher against Ali because you always run the risk of being labelled the guy who is only countering. They are hard to score, and it comes down to who you are giving the edge in a rather evenly matched fight
