Did Ali Fight A Shot Frazier For 2 And 3...?

    Yank Durham advised Joe to retire after the first Ali fight. Told him he had nothing left to prove.

    I think Joe's actual peak was the 2/16/70 fight against Ellis.

    I also believe that all this talk about ring rust that Ali had in the first Frazier fight is mostly just that, talk. 15 rounds with Bonavena, with a knockout at the end, wiped away 90% of any rust.

    Anybody realize that Ali had more actual rounds in the ring in the 12 months before Ali-Frazier 1 than Joe did?

    So you're saying that Ali was in better condition in the first fight?
