Well if I was an aspiring amature boxer who had failed to make the Welsh commonwealth squad but had a chance to qualify for the very same games through a parents country of birth ( Scotland for argument sake ) I would grasp the opportunity to represent my parents country with both hands and be thankful for the second chance, and hope to reward their generosity with a medal , good luck to young Khan .

You made a thread saying Scots and Irish are too patriotic and always support their own even if the boxer is ****, but now you're encouraging the same thing. You yourself said you'll be wanting Abraham to knock Froch out so you'll be supporting an Armenian dude over a Brit.

This is just a case of a dude trying to make a name for himself whatever it takes. You see the same thing in other sports, South African cricketers representing England because of more money/more chance of getting into the team. I would probably do the same thing if I were in his position.

I think you have learning difficulties, But there is something called "Dual nationality", In that you can be the citizen of two nations.

Since England didnt think he was good enough or whatever reason then they dont have any right to critic him for choosing to box for the country of his parents.

Amir Khan almost had to fight for Pakistan at the Olympics because the ABA of the UK thought Khan was too young to go, But they reveresd the decision at the last moment.

    So stop being a knob.

What a ****in' *****. **** off back to the EDL forum you wanker.

It's the commonwealth games, the lad's got Pakistani family and has a right to fight for them if he wants, it's not like he's pretending to be Pakistani to get into the olympics.

There's no shortage of boxers who've represented another country in the Amatuers, Lennox Lewis is one, but there's many many others. This happens in all sports. This is boxing, and it's the commonwealth games, it's a sporting event not a political whinging session for dickhead nationalists.

I have no problems with him doing it, however he should no longer be allowed to represent the UK in the sport, although I imagine they wouldn't select him now anyway, lack of talent aside.

Who else is now picturing a huge Lennox Lewis Xbox controller in giant hand hunched over a 14" telly in some mentally ******ed kids bedroom playing Bad Compay 2?

He obviously wants to fight so he's opted for Pakistan. Via Pakistan he'll get valuable experience and then come back to the UK and still try to fight for GB. Doesn't GB benefit from that? It's a two way street.
